#23 Flower of Life

Regene is elated that Ribbons is dead but right after, Ribbons reappears in a new body. Ribbons reveals that his consciousness is connected directly to Veda, so his body is only a vessel. When Ribbons again states his superiority, Regene tries to shoot him again, but this time, Regene gets shot in the chest by Ali. At this moment, the A-LAWS forces are still putting up a fight, and Kati is concentrating her forces to finish them off. Recognizing the strategy being used, Sumeragi directs Ian to concentrate their attack on the center of the enemy fleet. Kati, however, tells the Gundams to guard their mother ship. That leads to Sumeragi and Kati speaking to each other again but Kati makes it clear that they are using Celestial Being to kill off A-LAWS and then will deal Celestial Being itself later.


Kati and Sumeragi are interrupted by Setsuna telling everyone to engage in evasive maneuvers because he realized that an attack was coming. A massive particle beam suddenly appears near the moon and blows through all sides involved in the fighting. Most of A-LAWS' fleet was destroyed and Katharon lost one Virginia class ship. The Ptolemaios and the Gundams manage to evade it. Setsuna knows that this is the Innovators’ doing, and it turns a GN Drive powered weapon that Ribbons has. Ribbons then cancels the optical camouflage on the Innovator’s massive asteroid ship, and the sight of it shocks everyone. He then states that Aeolia Schenberg foresaw everything, including the encounter with what was then unknown, and Ribbons then compares his ship to an ark to save mankind. Given this development, Sumeragi informs both the coup forces and Katharon that Celestial Being will be attacking the enemy ship to recover Veda, and she offers her thanks and condolences for those killed. Sumeragi then begins their last mission.


Getting to the Innovator ship was not easy its surface is populated heavily with defensive gun batteries. Sumeragi sends the Gundams ahead to deal with this, but the bigger immediate problem is the particle cannon similar to Memento Mori. Fortunately, Lasse’s piloting spares the Ptolemaios. Ribbons isn’t worried about this and sends out the massive Gaga force piloted by all the Bring and Devine clones. They’re in mobile suits developed by Billy equipped with Trans-Am. Although the Gundams are able to destroy some of the Gagas, there were just too many, and most of them kamikazes the Ptolemaios. The Celestial Being transport gets destroyed and when things start looking bad again, it’s Kati and Klaus who come to the rescue. This leads to the Gaga force targeting the newly arrived ships. Patrick gets killed by 3 Gagas in an attempt to protect Kati. Before his GN-X III explodes, Patrick tells Kathi that he loves her.


Feldt finds the dock entrance on the Innovator ship, so Sumeragi orders the use of Trans-Am to close the distance. They manage to crash into the enemy dock, and Allelujah and Marie proceeds to cover them. Lasse pilots the 0 Gundam to help out. According to the plan, the other Meisters spread out and invade the enemy ship separately, but Ribbons has Automatons and more of the Gaga force ready. To make things worse, Louise and Ali make their appearances, with Louise going against Setsuna and Saji while Lyle fights Ali. Unfortunately, the Cherudim Gundam’s ranged weaponry struggles against Ali Al-Saachez at close range. Feldt manages to find Veda’s location during this time and passes on the information, but Tieria is unable to act on it immediately because Healing and Revive also appear with the Trans-Am ability. Their speed allows them to cut apart Seravee and cause it to crash. With the Automatons now overrunning the Ptolemaios, Sumeragi takes a rifle and heads out by herself. She then runs into a group of Automatons led by Billy with him having her at gun point.


Andrei tries to help out Louise in the fight against the 00 Raiser, but he quickly gets disabled. Louise feels that the Gundams are the evil that is distorting the world. She thinks that things would be better off if the Gundams were gone but Saji questions if that would really bring happiness. Saji asserts that a future won through fighting isn’t a real future. He states that a true future is one when people understand each other. Meanwhile, Healing notices that Tieria has escaped the disabled Seravee. Tieria has made his way to the location where Veda is being kept, and Ribbons is already there wondering if mankind is going to be experiencing destruction or rebirth while Tieria says that's not for him to decide. Tieria points his gun at Ribbons.

I was hoping the clone Innovator army would do more than just kamikaze attacks. And the whole everyone has Trans-Am was just bullshit imo. Now that ability isn't special anymore.

Exactly - the fuck's with everyone and his dog having Trans-Am all of a sudden !?
Also - when exactly did missiles go out of style ? You clone an innovator, invent a new machine for it (him?) ... only to crash it straightforward into the enemy ship !? Those things were as deadly (and stupid) as flies - we've seen Ptopemy's shield go down a couple of times and yet swarms of these could do shit about it.

Another proof that CB & Co are using some serious cheats is that you do not take 'damage' from a Big_Ass_Ray_of_Death fired (by surprise) from The_Big_Ass_Space_Fortress_of_Doom. An attack like that either misses you or turns you into space dust. And yet even Kataron suits reported 'damage'.

I didn't expect a Lyle vs Ali battle but it does make sense (brotherly revenge and shit). Hope that Ali kills him.

All in all - an exciting ep though a bit too packed to enjoy small events to the fullest. The total collapse power-level consistency didn't help either.

BTW - Soma/Marie is probably alive but it looks a little bit more grim for Patrick ... though you never know. That guy's a cockroach.

Yeah, I was disappointed that all those Innovators were just suicide weapons. But I suppose having the team beat all those Innovators as if they were mere Mobile Dolls would be a bit too much at this point. I also did not expect Lockon vs. Ali nor did I expect Tieria to get wasted so easily without even bringing out Seraphim. And 0 Gundam is lol.

That was rather quick indeed. Still - if it wasn't for the clone army I'd say the good ol' 'rule' of 'red making you 3 times more powerful' worked properly this time. Any single innovator in a custom suit was troublesome till now so 2 with Trans-Am should be expected to kick butt. Besides - I suspect that only Seravee got wasted and we'll get to see Seraphim in action again. Provided the pilot survives his meeting with the big bad boss.

Hehe if you looked at the episode until the end you see that Tiera Erde's has bigger plans such as POINTING A GUN AT RIBBONS FUCK YEAH!

I want Ribbons to die a painfull death but it seems my wish won't be granted. I don't think Patrick died. Right? I like the guy seriously wishing he didn't die. He was cool too in the episode. Gundam 00's trademark seems to be TOO MUCH packed events in the last 2 episodes. Good point though ZeroOBK those innovators did look like Mobile Dolls. Useless and they didn't seem to do any dammage.

About the guy scientist (forgot his name) friend and probably old boyfriend of Kujou. He really needs to get over it. I never understood the whole point of his anger seriously...

Andrei is still the indisputable No.1 - 5 seconds of him in this ep and it still made my mad. At least his suit was hit ... in the leg. Where's proper aim when you need it most ? :roll:

Couldn't you just make GN-Drive missiles w/Trans-Am instead of MS being the missiles? This just makes me feel that Bandai is looking for an excuse to sell more models.


And what would your number 2 be? Andrei is also on my #1 spot to die though I want Saji or Soma to kill him, I doubt that will happen at this point. Fucking bastard for killing Sergei. And Billy's an idiot. Ok so the woman you love is in CB, big whoop! Get over it.

I laughed at that. Andrei is now Team Andrei, the successor of Team Patrick, except Team Andrei will probably (hopefully) wind up truly dead.

I miss Nena :cry: With her and Ali around, quality casualties were only a matter of time.

2. Andrei Smirnov (I'm particularly hoping that Saji or Soma Peries//Marie will take him out. Hoping for a painfull 10 sec death)

3. Wang Liu Mei (W00T I got my wish on this one)

4. Ali Al-Saachez (I wouldn't want the guy dead if he hadn't killed Saji's older sister and the real Lockon Stratos; Lyle)

#1 Andrei - ungrateful son for killing Sergei and for being an idiot.

#2 Louise - She was ok in S1 but now she's just annoying. And I don't like the fact that she killed Nena like nothing(even though she had it coming :( ) Though I doubt she'll kick the bucket.

#3 Billy - Your a loser, move on with your life. Quit grueling over Sumeragi being in CB.

#4 Ribbons - Son of bitch is the cause for killing my waifu! :x

Yeah same here. I was hoping for either Setsuna or Nena to kill Ali. Sucks that she died. I really wasn't expecting nor wanted her death.

Now I just want to ask if I'm the only one who feels that 00 series was too packed at their ending. Last season last 2 episodes were filled with information and action. Too much IMO. Same this season. I've seen all Gundam series and action packed last episodes are always a trademark however 00 pushed it a bit over considering what happens; also there are an awful lot of unanswered questions in this series.

Who the fuck is Ribbons and where the fuck did he come from. He just appeared almost at the end of last season and became a mastermind boom all of a sudden. I know he's an innovator but where do they come from? What's CB gonna do once they get VEDA back? I mean now their goal is to kill and liberate earth from the Innovator's grasp but isn't the Plan left behind by Aeolia Schenberg supposed to lead humanity to Innovation and thus leading to peace because people will be able to communicate with quantum waves?

Anyone has any idea wtf is going on in this series?

Bad, bad episode. I don't like it.

Seems like they took the easy way of wiping out the A-Laws and the forces that fighting them thus easily ended a battle that could be so much more. Then they bring out the clone army just to be bunch of suicidal units. But then there only two episodes left and it gave me the feeling the story is getting kinda rushed. Also 0 Gundam like 5 seconds appearance doesn't make happy either. I wish Mileina was piloting it though and goes "Mileina, ikimasu desu!" at least I would have enjoyed this episode but sadly it didn't happen.

Having Nena fighting Ali would be nice but then Ali would easily kill her, kinda leave Louise as a useless character so I prefer Louise killing Nena. Also there's a lot of choices of people that could go and kill Ali... Setsuna, Saji, Tiera, Feldt well Lasse too since Ali shot him when he was piloting GN Arms.
