Season 2 bump.
First and foremost - don't watch the HorribleSubs release. Their subs are horrible (not really but the quality could definitely be better). Pretty sure Eclipse is gonna pick this up so we only need to wait a bit.
Anyways - an ok ep continuing the new, warm and vibrant style JC Staff introduced in the OVA after taking over the show. Most of it was about re-introducing the army of characters so while it didn't lack humor it's not much to talk about (hence, I didn't bother making a discussion topic about it). I expect far more from the show in the future.
The best thing for me was the ED. If this is to be any indication the show finally decided to focus on the most important character.

Can't wait to start watching this. I'm hoping they get some more ecchi moments with Hina like that intro episode. :lol:

I agree fully. This anime obviously still needs moar Hinagiku, even more than the ED and her appearances... might as well change the OP too! :)

well i am just bumping this thread to say second episode of HnG season 2 is out and i enjoyed the episode and it seems like the anime is gonna follow the manga now

ever heard the name of Athena Tennousou?.. this newcomer is apparently will be Nagi's biggest threat on winning over Hayate, not Hina.. and she's so damn beautiful..
for your additional info, Athena only appeared in 7 chapters (or maybe less?) of the manga in hayate's flashback arc (which means she was still just a little kid by then), and she's already on the 5th rank of most popular character of HnG with just that soo little screentime.. If you love Hinagiku's Tsundere-ness, i bet you're gonna fall for her as well since she's well beyond that level of tsundere..
what i'm trying to say is.. I can't wait to see her appearances in the Anime!!.. I'm dying for it..

Told them to change the damn title to 'Hinagiku no Setokaicho' in reference to the main character.
That ranking made a fun little bonus indeed, even though contests of Japanese-origin often have strikingly different results than outside ones. I personally wonder how much influence Hina's soaring popularity has on the ongoing story (seeing it's focus somewhat shifted compared to the beginning I don't think they ever dreamed of a boom like this).
Isumi deserves far better BTW and Saki should have made the top 10 as well.
