....theres a 2nd season of hayate no gotoku aside from the 52 episode.....

Yeah - it's definitely coming though details remain scarce ...

There's also something called 'Hayate the Combat Butler (OAV)' in the works. ANN states that it's supposed to start 2009-03-06. I do however expect the 2nd season and the OAV to be separate entities since there's easily enough unused material to fill 26 new eps.

The whole thing starts out at chapter 87 and finishes at chapter 98. The birthday chapter is on 97 and 98.

well i just hope they do Hina birthday into an episode if they dont i will be disappointed i will still watch even if they dont but they better to something to make up for it if they dont make it into an episode

Most likely the same one or the more recent anime from those companies they reference, thou last seasons TTGL style episode was interesting to say the least, and since I am also watching Zettai Karen Children (which they put Hayate cameos in a few times) I looking forward to hoppefully seeing them make appearances in the bg of this series as well.

Those references just made me go wtf but I thought it was funny. Yeah I suspect they may use the same ones again. Wondering if they're gonna use the more recent animes.

So, they're planning to release an OVA on March, then follow it up with the second season a month after...

The one good thing about this series that I really like is its cast of seiyuus!
let's see...my favorites include:
Marina Inoue (though she's portraying Wataru - who's a "boy")
Shizuka Itou (you should know very well that she plays the role of Hina)
Rie Tanaka (who doesn't know who Rie Tanaka is?)
Norio Wakamoto (this guy is a living legend!)
Kana Ueda (who wouldn't recognize her Kansai-ben?)

I've always admired these guys for their work...not to forget to mention Rie Kugimiya, though I don't really like her voice that much. I only did like her as Kagura from Gintama.

I'm guessing if they make the OVA on March... It'll be about Hina's birthday. If they don't... I'm gonna go on a rampage or something.

heres hoping the story wont get draggy like in the first one

after 30 episode i started to get bored and just watched the ones where hina was featured hope the second one doesnt fail me...

I hope the anime will stay more faithful to the manga this time.
