As I
said ages ago, Hina never had much of a chance in getting Hayate, and now she has been turned down before even managing to express her feelings. I realized she was going to get turned down, but not as harshly as this.
Things won't go smoothly down HayatexAthena from here though. Even though Hayate still loves A-tan and A-tan loves him back, A-tan is supressing her feelings because she needs the stone, and Hayate is confined being Nagi's butler. I don't see Hayate abandoning Nagi even without the debt, thus, I don't see this manga ending just yet. This is far from over. However, Hayate is pretty much locked in with the Athena ending now, unless one of them dies or something.
Interestingly, in the last panels, when Hayate thinks A-tan to him is different to all those girls, Nagi did not appear. Does she still have a chance? How intriguing, Hata. This manga is becoming better by the second. I'm pretty confident Hina will keep Hayate's secret for the sake of the story to carry on, at least up to a certain stage.
Overall, a fantastic chapter, even though I can't help but cry for Hina's sake. Even though I saw it coming, I can't help but cry. Can't wait for next week.
