A lot of shit has been banned over the years yet people still found a way around it or went on with their daily lives. Good example being the Megaupload pirate accusation. Can't use that anymore so the internet moved over to MediaFire and we still get our hentai regardless of what the government or anyone of political power says.

Well in any case we've established that if hentai were banned people would either get it illegally or look for other sources of enjoyment. Either way banning it would do nothing.

They're better off banning everything since everything has its own equivalent fetish.

Getting back on topic, people will most probably find a way around the problem, if possible. Examples include proxies, migration, etc.

Unfortunately, there are times when one has no choice but to accept the current situation. Imagine your country becoming a police state, dictatorship, etc.
