well, that was from wikipedia though, and that was before the WW2
after 1945 for more "modern" mangas:

I don't think age is all that important. Doraemon was so incredibly popular that he was even assigned "anime cultural ambassador".
Unless by "Holy Grail" you mean "first of it's kind", which would then be a misnomer.

I wonder if the first edition copy of dragon ball is worth anything. I have a copy in japanese that was given to me as a gift by my neighbor (old OLD man) like 15 years ago.

It's probably not important, but I believe a large part of why Action Comics #1 is worth so much is the rarity of it. There aren't a million copies out there, so the quantity is low, while the desire is very large. Add those two, and you get a huge price tag.
If, for example, Astro Boy #1 is heavily desired but has many copies, then it won't be worth that much. I don't know anything about how Japanese comics have been treated, but a lot of American comics are worth a very pretty penny now because they've often been regarded as trash by parents. I've heard a ton of stories from older people saying that they had comics as a kid, but their parents destroyed them to get them out of the way.
