Im not the type to go out and buy manga (when you can get it on the internet free). But Tiday i was walking to the bus stop at the mall, when i saw a small pile of books in a small bush. Normally id walk away, but I noticed Ichigo (bleach) was on the back cover. When i picked them up, They were Books 1-3 of Hellsing, And books 1 and 2 of Price of tennis (didnt really care for these 2). They both were unread (no creses), and i know that the bookstore in the mall had a large selection of manga.
Would you guys have taken the books, or see if they were stollen?

Would of left them. Already have Hellsing 1-3 and the rest you mentioned are crap to me.

i'm poor (or just stingy), and reading real manga books are a lot better than reading them from a computer screen, so i'd just keep those books for myself

Hell yes! I think it's the proper way to pay the owner's carelessness to leave out his/er belongings unguarded ^_^ If the owner does not want it, they should've at least don't throw them around :lol:

Lol they have no owner. It looked like some one stole a bunch of books and dumped the ones they didnt want in the bushes. So im wondering if i should have taken them to store to see what really happened (I took em anyway)

I would just leave a note (either at the scene if possible or at the nearby book store) with my phone number or an e-mail address saying I found and picked up some books. That way should they have been accidentally left by a rightful owner they can just call/e-mail and give a description of the lost books. If it matches up you can arrange to return them. Of course I would also check with the bookstore in case they were indeed stolen. Just seems like the right thing to do.
Of course if they aren't stolen and no rightful owner claims them after a few weeks then I'd keep them or(more likely) give them to a friend that would appreciate them more then myself.

I'd only take them if they were obviously abandoned and also in mint condition =). Physically possessing manga leads to storage problems anyway.

I've already read all those and my school library has them so those particular books I'd leave since it would only cause me problems (I'm obsessed with having full sets and single volumes or parts of a set bother me). If it were, say, a stack of Vagabond then I'd nab them right away.

print is always better, but i haven't experienced storage problems yet :P

I sometimes like to think that I have morals (but then I find myself in certain bowels of the Internet)... so I probably wouldn't do anything, unless I saw somebody who looked like they were missing it. I might report it to mall security or whatnot (wherever lost wallets and such turn up when found by nice people). That is, unless it happens to be English copies of Volumes 7 & 8 of Gunslinger Girl... Then I would grab them, and run for my life out of there to get busy reading, but probably not for miscellaneous manga.

if its me, I'll just leave it. Maybe there is a hidden camera and you're in a candid show. Who know? It too much risk in there.
