Is it just me or does Yui look like some kind of cross between haruhi suzumiya and nagisa

I also like the ED, only wish there would be more to see when it begins....*sigh*

That's EXACTLY what I think, except Yui is made of more moe than both of them plus together.

2.5k guitar for $500?!?!?! That's fucking crazy. She doesn't even need that expensive of a guitar...Even $500 is pretty expensive for someone who's just starting out.

Seems like Yui will be the lead singer. She has that energetic feel. But singing and playing the guitar is pretty hard. Although, I doubt she'll be doing anything technical. Rhythm guitar, no solo's. Yui was cute when she was distracted by the dog.


I know how Ritsu feels, seeing those guitarists fingers and hands moving so fast can be intimidating. I agree with Ritsu, she has a drummer feel to her personality, lol. Also, I relate to her wanting to peel off the plastic film on the guitar.


Tsumugi's character design reminds me of another girl in Pastel manga. It's the eyebrows. She's the typical non snooty rich girl type.


Mio is pretty shy and that is the reason she's on bass. Guess she won't be the lead singer in the series after all. I like the little eye thing she does in the ED...

God the ED is catchy. Must d/l when the single is released.

An acoustic guitar would have been a much practical choice for starters.

For whatever reason, I just felt like ranting a bit...

I thought she would've said bass because it's easier. That's why I play it. :lol: But really, bass is fun.
And I think she could be the lead singer if the others make her. I can see it happening.

kyoani's putting a bit too much emphasis on the element of moe...and while i'm still a sucker for it at the moment, i have an itchy feeling that i'm gonna get tired of it real soon...

Ah, now episode two, again the moe can kill.
Like others have said Kyoani just provides win here every time, sure I do know a few ppl who would nvr touch this show cuz of its cutesy style etc.
This added scenes with the part time job we just amazing (for me) mainly because my hat fetish was satisfied greatly.

Mio is starting to remind me of Kagami (Lucky Star) by her actions.I love how Yui fell asleep with the guitar in her bed she looks so adorable with it.I also think Tsumugi should have haggled the cashier down to less than $500 since the man's terrified reaction was willing to go lower than $500 because her father owns the store.I love also when Yui pulled the plug out of the amp and literally almost busted her ear drums out.And last but not least OMG Ritsu was awesome when she played an eight-beat with the traffic counter I swear it's like the inner sanctums of her mind are just producing music when ever she gets a hold of anything that feels instrument related or feels like an instrument period.All in all the episode was good can't wait for the next one.

Also if Mio keeps doing this from now on I'm gonna start calling this her "tapping out moment".

For those bashing Kyoani, there are things I must say to defend in their stead.

Kyoani has many things that many other studios don't have: quality animation. It's animation work never ceases to amaze me, and it's the highest quality stuff I've seen yet with an exception to other studios. Kyoani's works are also selected for it's content. Air, Kanon, and Clannad are all Leaf works, and while one may think Kyoani is all about moe, I don't that's necessarily true, e.g. Munto, FMP! TSR. Also, I've never seen a Kyoani production where I thought it was rushed, executed badly, or bad. (Then again, I couldn't stand Lucky Star due to the lolis) Every anime they make, there isn't something I can complain about. They're just that good, from excellent voice-acting, music, character development/interaction, exposition, etc. etc.

I guess the biggest reason why I'm supporting Kyoani is because I haven't seen something done by them that has failed in my eyes. (Lucky Star is the only exception due to personal preferences.)

Back on topic, this episode was full of moe~. I can't wait to see them practice in earnest.
