An art student named Jin Mikuriya carves a statue from the wood of the Kannagi tree only to have the statue come to life in the form of a goddess, who has now taken over the statue. He and "Nagi" work together to destroy the impurities that are gathering in the town.
:arrow: I was surprised to see this post wasn't here yet, since you guys are always updated with the recent animes. (and this came out at the end of 2008)
So, i'll begin by what will surprise you at first (my opinion): the animation. The animations on this thing are very very good. The chara design is also very beautiful to watch. And the color scheme is also very good and lively. ^^
It's very good to watch. The comedy is good and funny. The characters are very likable (specially Nagi :)).
I would compare the comedy in here to Minami-ke or Clannad (the kinda comedy I like. Relaxed, and that doesn't make the characters ridicule).
The only downside to this is the lenght - 13 episodes long. :? This really deserves a second season.
I bet many of you guys know this anime, since it's one of the recent good ones. But since there wasn't a topic here, I figured many of you still don't. So now you know. ^^ Now put it on your to watch list if you haven't already. :P
note: oh yeah, looking back on the Opening I forgot to tell you something. The anime is NOT about some famous singer or ANYTHING like that xD it is indeed very deceiving. So if you're one of those people that doesn't like that kinda anime (like me), you can be relaxed, this is nothing of that. ^^
The Opening song was great as Nagi sings and dances XD
This anime has only 13 Episodes and I want moar !
This anime revolves around a Human and a Self-Proclaimed god.
Contains lots of laughs that is sure to make you more tuned in into this series. :D
Edit :
@Klorofolun
Yeah... I even looked at the Master List of Anime Threads
Oh crap. Could it be that i've bumped into another anime that isn't on the master list but already has a topic? :? I'll search for it.....
Edit: looked for it. Nagato Yuuki and Korou mentioned it on the K-ON! topic about it being similar, but no, there was no topic for it yet. (huff, I was worried I had done the same crap twice...)
