This anime has pleasantly surprised me. The animation is smooth and crisp, and the story is nice, in a heart-warming kind of way. I generally hate shoujo, but I love this.
100% agreed i cant wait for the rest of the season
This anime tends to grow on me more and more with every single episode... still getting the 5 Centimeters/Clannad (good point, Engel) feeling.
It's slowly getting above most of the shows of this fall, and that's quite some feat, considering the quality of the new series.
I haven't exactly connected with this guy over here so I thought I'd give it a try.

What surprises me is how you even managed to consider watching/trying this series knowing that it's "shoujo", something in which you're admitted to hating, generally?
@Lamz: I presume you watched ep2 with subs from FMSxSunberries. I just wanna ask on how do they fare in terms of overall quality and translation most importantly?
Not that I can really comment the quality since all I know from Japanese are alphabets and some basic (very basic) grammar, but I've compared Eclipse/FMS on the first ep and it was pretty similar... plus I've read mostly good comments on them, putting them close to Eclipse quality.
I was willing to wait for Eclipse, but they are rather slow with their releases since the start of October.
If Eclipse keeps their slow tempo, I'll be watching this series with FMS and later store the Eclipse version.
But you can't really take my opinion on the quality as a serious refference.
God, do I love this series. Episode two was even better than it was depicted in the manga, in my opinion. The colors of the landscapes were magnificent,

and pablo was as cute as ever.
Also, I seem to have an even bigger crush on Kazehaya then I did before. I just want to cuddle him whenever he blushes!
Don't even get me started on Sawako, though. She's on a totally different level of cuteness.
Spoiler:
And the seat changing scene was very well done. I felt slight tears wanting to come out because Sawako's happiness. I guess she kind of forces me to realize that I should be more happy about the little things in life, rather than materialistic desires. Kimi ni Todoke is definitely making me appreciate life more.
Anywho, looking forward to how they interpret Sawako's next adventures with
The first half seemed somewhat boring, but it was a nice setup into the seat change scene, which made me smile. I am thoroughly enjoying the series so far.

well said i don't find a second of the two episodes boring though
Alllright! Just got done watching episode 3. It definitely gave me the same mushy vibes as when I read the manga, and then some.
Spoiler:
I really loved how they animated Sawako's smile, and how she was able to help everyone in the classroom. That was one of my favorite parts of the first volume. I also thought the scenes with Kazehaya, (especially the one near the end of him being selfish about wanting her to only help him), to be immensely satisfying, and he was as cute as ever.
However, I'm not sure who the blonde girl is that they keep on bringing up.
I haven't read the second volume of the manga yet so, and I'm debating on whether or not I want to read it before next week or watch the anime first. Maybe I'll watch the anime first and see if my impression of the manga changes at all. We shall see.
This series just loves to toy around with my emotions so much. I'm confused whether or not to consider it a good thing but nonetheless, I love it as if it's my very own heart that beats inside me. I never thought I could be this passionate over watching it.
I know the video's crappy but the PV itself had a nice touch of "reaching" out. That, and the song simply gives off such a feeling that even I, would like to reach out to someone. Very nice I must say, really soothing. Of course, all that thanks to Tanizawa Tomofumi's singing.
Just had to post that since the song won't actually be available till late November.

Yes, her smile... stunningly beautiful... I just had to spoiler it...
Spoiler:
I initially thought about laminating it and keeping it on my screen forever but it kinda felt like if I stare at it for more than 3 seconds, the image will melt like ice cream.
This series continues to be heart warming and I have to say seeing Sawako's smile is gorgeous. That MV HermitIV posted is now my favorite song for this season. Katuchi is finally giving Sawako some hints that he likes her.
Oh man, episode four totally tugged at my heart-strings. I haven't felt like this since the later episodes of Clannad: After Story. I'm thinking that maybe I should have read the second volume of the manga before seeing this arc animated, but oh well.
Spoiler:
Anywho...I didn't think that this rumor was going to go as crazy as it did. Yano and Yoshida seemed pretty resolute with their decision that it wasn't Sawako that started the rumors, but then that awkward moment of misunderstanding had to come in and shit hit the fan. The whole time I desperately wanted everyone to just run into each other and laugh and realize that it was all a bunch of lies, but man, didn't happen.
This episode did have it's comedic parts, though. I especially liked the feeding scene with Sawako, Yano, and Yoshida. And I liked how upon hearing that Sadako didn't like them they went home and cried that night, and both came back the next day and laughed at each other's bloodshot eyes.
God, now I really can't wait for next week. I could read ahead but...I think I'd rather wait it out like the rest.
