Well, I've got one word that could sum up my reaction to this first episode of Kobato: DAWWWWWWWW!
Spoiler:
It was just fantastic. Kobato is such a relatable female hero, at least from my perspective, (since I'm such a klutz irl). Her personality is extremely optimistic and refreshing, and works perfectly for her line of work.
I really laughed at Kobato's first reaction to human society, (by basically becoming a bum and sleeping on a park bench). I also enjoyed her take on the whole crow/garbage dilemma.
And the singing sequence? Magnificent. At first, a few goosebumps trickled down my shoulder, and shortly after I thought I was going to tear up a little. I wished that I could be sung that sweetly to bed every night!
The cooking scene was extremely funny. I'm horrible at it, (so my boyfriend usually cooks for me), so I completely understood the horror that Kobato withstood for that customer. I'm just glad that the dish turned out good in the end.
The poor girl...all she wants to do is make everyone happy, but she usually seems to screw something up. However, her attitude, I believe, will lead her to her wish, (which I wonder where she wants to travel). I can't wait to see the many other ways that she can warm the hearts of the world. I'll be rooting for you, Kobato!
Kobato scored as a very well rounded series in my view. You would't feel bored with it's constant comedic approache.
I enjoyed the first episode. It was refreshing to see a "happy" type anime from time to time, only the future episodes will tell if this series gets it's weekly views from me.
The anime remains neutral in my list since i enjoyed the mild comedy but also the "naive" feel just isn't my cup of tea.
First ep, very very niiiicccceee... CLAMP's got one again right here, and it's good. Dang it, I'm on tethers with too many good fall season anime series.
Damn it's been a while since I've experienced CLAMP without drama, emoing and shit ... not that's it's bad once in a while. Not much to say for now aside from the fact that Kobato's moe is OVER9000 and that Kurogane Ioryogi-san fucking owns.
Done watching episode 2, and I am glad they started adding in the bit where Ioryogi marks Dobato's score on her face, her expressions are always so cute and adorable, thou, I wish they'd done it soon, seeing as how in the manga she got many different scores while in the process of obtaining her bottle. I guess since the manga is only too a certain point, the random things she did (helping others) before getting her bottle will be used for filling the bottle nano desu. Can't wait for that, lots of the usual Clamp characters will be shown like always ^_^
I dunno if there's any pictures out or if anyone knows, but who wants to bet that the dog stuffed animal is just a smaller form of something larger? Similar to Kero from Cardcaptor Sakura :) He acts awfully big, or maybe he just has a little big man complex

Well Ioryogi does have an interesting past that the manga has explained a fair amount of....
Spoiler:
He is punished by the Heavens and his body is now that of a stuffed animal, why'd he get punished? He did something up in Heaven along with some others, along with his new form he also has to help a human girl obtain her wish, thou we haven't seen his true form in the manga, they show shadows of what it might have been
I loved Kobato's interaction with the kids in the nursery, (and she sure knows how to dance, lol). As I was watching it, I imagined having a baby sitter or a teacher act like Kobato for my kids one day. It was a very pleasant thought.
I was also glad that Kobato was able to cure that little boy's heart. It must have been really rough for him to hear all those negative comments about his mother from the other mothers, but Kobato is so damn optimistic and positive about everything that she couldn't see anything wrong with his mother. I thought I was going to cry a little as they embraced. Oh so heart-warming.
The next episode looks interesting, since it has something to do with rain, so I'll patiently wait for next week's episode.
♂«"Magic Number" - Maaya Sakamoto❤
[size=11](mine "magic number" would be 3 btw) :)[/h]
I know, I know. I really should post here more often. Oh well, here goes "nothing"...
Seems like Kohaku is a girl..? (body figure, although flat around the chest area; voice wise = Chiwa Saito) - Aren't "angels" supposed to be genderless?
My only sort of "Wish" was to hear Rie Tanaka as the twins (Chiho & Chise) but unfortunately, the role was given to Megumi Nakajima. Thanks to it, my very sensitive heart just got a boo-boo, and a very deep one at that...
To recover, I now so desperately need Kobato's healing more than ever!!!

Well, I dug episode three even more than the others so far.
Spoiler:
I thought that it was so sweet for Sayake to provide Kobato a room, and the first thing I thought of when I saw the apartment complex was Chobits. And, guess what? The landlady was also named Chitose, (but her first name was Mihara so it was different than the Chitose in Chobits). And Chiho and Chise? Totally like Freya and Elda. I smiled knowing that Chitose was able to have the two beautiful children that she wanted so desperately in another world.
The rest of the episode was nice as well. I enjoyed the simple solution to Mutsumi's problem, (ie, just walk under an umbrella with the guy that she likes). It's the simple things in life that make you the happiest, after all.
