Lucky Star Dub or Sub?

Yeah, I've never seen Lucky Star. (Cue crowd gasp) But I'm finally going to check it out. All I have is this question.

Should I watch Subbed or Dubbed? I want to see which one you think I should do, because they both have good and bad things about them.

well watch it subbed first then dubbed...because thats how I did it and both where fine.

Might be best just get a Dual Audio copy and decide for yourself. I personally liked both of them, since dubs do not perturb me that often and their is also subtitles with the tracks. Just a matter of what you think.

Id say dubbed bro. I get annoyed by the american voices and the expressions of the characters aren't conveyed that well since the pitch and tone of a japanese seiyuu is different from an american voice actor.

All of this is in my opinion, either way you can choose whatever you want.

I've never liked dubbed anything D: I like my animes, tv series, western cartoons games and all with the original audio track. No matter what the language is. Thats mostly because when they've designed the characters and their personalities, they have the voice actors in mind. And its alot harder (sometimes it seems its almost impossible) to get a voice actor who's voice actually fits the character.

So original in almost everything is better.

+ I dont really think that anime characters' the personalities and the over exaggerating of animes goes well with english and the tone of western peoples voices. And as someone said, in english you'll miss some jokes. And in subs (at least fansubs) the jokes are usually explained so that people who dont understand japanese get the joke too.

Both are fine, but with the dub some of Konata's quirks are lost IMO. I say first watch it subbed and if you have time, watch it dubbed some other time.

Never really care about this series but the sub was slightly better.

Watch the sub. The dub was terrible, almost killed myself cause of it.

For the most part the Japanese voices are better, but i think some characters sound alright in English, only very few of them are decent.

I agree like some of the voices are ok but...Konata's english voice actor...drives me to kill.

Watch sub first, then dub. I didn't think the dub was all that bad, compared to others that is.
After a quick review, I realize that I must have repressed the memories of the Lucky Star dub. Do not watch, do not want, please get those sounds out of my skull.

I have never seen it subbed and never plan to, the dub is just fine and Wendy Lee is great as Konata, the only voice you should look out for is Patrica Martin, loved the character, hated the voice.

If you HAVE to watch it dubbed then do that first but its much better in Jap so id just watch it subbed TBH. (Dub sucks in Lucky Star)

Lol ur not the only one who haven't watched it yet >_< Anyway I would watch it subbed since I can't stand watching dubbed anime.

The english language jokes are not as funny as the Japanese ones.

Subbed. I saw Lucky Star dubbed @ AX and it was rather unpleasant.

The dub makes me want to cry, it just doesn't fit with this series in my opinion. You have to hear Konata in Hirano Aya's glorious voice.

Either is good, I actually watched it dubbed, and im not a fan of dubbed anime. Although some of the jokes are lost.

I think that in a show like this, which is all about Japanese "life" and humor, it needs to have the Japanese voices to work.

English just doesn't cut it.
