Majikoi

So I'm half way through Kawakami War. Gakuto was so heroic in there. They should have made the anime an hour special...

The anime was really, well... Confusing. Unless you played the Moyomo route, you wouldn't understand half what is going on, and you'll be lacking knowledge of all the characters

My impression of the first two episodes copy/pasted from my comments on other websites:

1st episode:

Watched the first episode of Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai (I'm calling it Majikoi from now on) and i can certainly see people who are not familiar with the Visual Novel not knowing what the hell is going on, and on that level it's a failure. On the other hand the anime seems to do a good job of catching at least the general personality of the characters and it's a nice bonus that the seiyuu returned for their characters.

But, really, all this episode amounted to was random (in the context of the series, anyway) fight scenes with no explanation. Yes, the viewer is told the two classes dislike one another but it isn't the same as actually seeing (the show, not tell rule anyone?) the classes at each others throat in the VN. At least it didn't take itself seriously, and kept the overall comedic tone. Not particularly funny, though.

I'll watch this as a fan of Majikoi, but this looks to be worst of what I've seen so far. Which is strange because I've typed the most for this..the f*ck?

2nd Episode:

Alright episode 2 of Majikoi was slightly better. But, it's starting to fall to far in the harem/ecchi comedy category for my liking. Also, it's becoming more and more apparent that the creators apparently don't give a flying f*ck about the people who haven't read the VN. Even for me, I couldn't really get a clear grasp at what this series wants to be despite enjoying the VN. Personally, unless you are a fan like me, I'd recommend staying the hell away from this.

Still, at least I chuckled a little bit during this episode unlike the first.

It's easier to please the people who brought Majikoi to become one of the best VNs sold in 2009, rather than trying catch new fans. and Since majikoi was released in 2009, I bet that most of the people watching in Japan already played the VN by now.

So, you could say that besides the Japanese community, any other community is late.

You know your hearing's too good if you watched Majikoi and noticed the porn scene music from the visual novel and immediately stopped it just to calm down a bit.

Btw who sang the opening music for the anime? I think I notice Endou from JAM Project's voice. Probably hearing things since it saids SV Tribe.

Episode 3 was so Meta... and seriously Yonpachi.. ROFL

I find it hard to believe Miyako let Moro program 48 hentai scenes of her. Unless it was trap Moro lol

Also, love how Cookie gets flustered over the the three laws of robotics *cough Cookie 2* Seems Cookie is a Miyako shipper though heh

Yamato playing Touhou 0_o

Miyako's personality was way off target.

Yeah, she seemed too energetic I think. I still found her part of the episode pretty amusing though, though not particularly great.

seriously I know right...but still it was a very funny episode. and was that what that game was? I thought it was like Bangai O Missle Fury or something, so now that I know what it looks like...

Ep. 4

Miyako's in the anime makes the VN look tamed. Seriously!

I'm not sure if thats part of the route, but I feel bad for Wanko when she chanted the line with Yamato.

Episode 5.

I have the urgent need to go play Majikoi S and hit on Kokoro.

Ditto. Can't wait to play Kokoro's Route.
