I think there was this one episode in Jigoku Shoujo IIRC, there was this guy who liked a girl but since she had a boyfriend he went batshit and sent her to Hell. I'm not sure though.

Well that is true. But he does love his friends, so there is probably some other crazy Japanese word for going insane over friends. Maybe just plain nut case.
