Mary just proven to be one of my new female protagnists in Gantz, there's a serious lack for strong female Gantzers other than Reika, Anzu comes in a third since she was part of the now extinct Osaka team, one of the strongest teams in Japan before the invasion happened. And I'm actually hoping she and Kaze could hook up, they would make a kick ass martial arts couple.
My other concern for the Catastrophe arc is what Nishi can do, now that Gantz is dead and the members are screwed more than ever if they can't teleport out of the alien colony or recover their injured teamates, the latest chapter had shed some light about him appearing to access a site, but I just have to wait to see what tricks he has since he seems to be redeeming himself since he rescued Takashi when the room was attacked.
Don't forget about Sakurai who's basically a "Walking Death" right now.
Oh, shit, Sakurai's one of my favorite of the stronger characters now more than ever since the invasion started, he did take out a mass number of aliens using just his MIND after all, something he couldn't do without the help of his master. Maybe the death of his master and now girlfriend was just the push he needed to become the killing machine he is now, I'm just hoping he doesn't die at the end. Thanks for reminding me about him, btw.

I kinda forced myself through the anime but good news. Apparently the manga is leagues better than the show. Much better than the short 25 episode thing they had going on where nothing made any sense.

Even if they survive this Catastrophe arc there are still many questions to be answered.
About the company that makes the Black Balls.
About that german otaku guy that kinda works for that company who has the ability to control deaths, the one that the journalist who investigated kurono about the room with the black ball faced.
And what of the vampires motives other than using humans as food supply.
If you want another manga similar to Gantz try "Drifters" from Kouta Hirano(hellsing), its like a mix of Gantz , Sengoku Basara and Fate/Stay Night.
Update: They finally brought out the "Big Guns" um ...well Big Mechs , this is gonna be Epic.

And yes, the manga is loads better than the Anime. I downloaded it once just to go through the sex scenes in the manga to see how they played out then deleted the series after. I couldnt sit through it. everything seemed so...dead

This has been one of the greatest mangas Ive ever read. Pretty much I can't read it on the main site I go to due to the fact it has given me three viruses so I have to wait till school starts back up so I can use their comps :D but Im up to where Kurono is in the giant mech. Overall since the beginning this manga has been one hell of a ride and its in my top of greatest mangas Ive had the pleasure of reading

Here's my thoughts on the developments thus far on the recent chapters: As far as I can see it, Sakurai's character development seems to have taken a bit of a darker, yet influential turn. Not only is he becoming more aware of his abilities, but also of the few limitations regarding Gantz's rules, example the bomb that was implanted that he 'magically' removed from his brain without killing himself. I hope to see more of this in the future and how this would relate in the future.
As for Reika, the last set of chapters prior to her death predicted this would have happened. Sucks to have the most powerful and experienced female Gantzer whose lived up to this point die, but I would have preferred if it wasn't for sacrifice for Kurono 2, it seemed so cliche.
With the recent two member deaths and new set of aliens they'd still have to face, for future battles, things could get risky, so I'd say Sakurai and Kurono 2 should work as a solo team to deal with a set of aliens while the remaining crew deal with any rescue or clean up, Muscle Rider and Mary ALONE can take out a massive alien considering their high martial arts skills and strength.
And what is Nishi up to, has he found a way to break in the alien's stronghold? I hope Oku clear things up soon aside from focusing on the action, the Catastrophe's been going on since 2009 or so and I want to see some answers to the questions for this manga.

Any author can tell you that the "clique" Telekinesis powers can be quite strong. It can begin with something easy like lifting objects, then use telepathy somehow, making force fields, and then holy shit they're manipulating reality and destroying matter at a subatomic level.
