For sure everyone saw this coming when Haruto even pushed Nanami (the girl he initially like) away just so that he could go to Tokyo and stalk Eba.

Never really read KnIM, but I have read Suzuka. How much would I like this if I loved the latter.

I think the author was trying to bridge the beginning of the Tokyo arc to now to make it feel like it worked up to him and Eba finally being together but he failed miserably. the gap is too big and the closure between hart and Eba when that guy died completely kills any hope of a relationship between them. And then the move to Asuka felt really really good.

Now the authors completely killed the story. Eba feels so fake now and Haruto just looks like a complete dick. I was hoping Asuka would just break up with him but instead the author made her look desperate and pathetic. I'm really disliking the direction the series is going and I'm finding it hard to picture how it will turn around. But you never know.

And for the people who want a yonder nice boat ending, that would never happen. Ask is not yonder enough and that would very much go against the authors style. I imagine the series will simply wrap up like EF. Ask and Haruto will have closure and Haruto will be with Eba.

The ending of Kimi no iru Machi:

Haruto sacrifices his friends for one girl, the one girl that loved before, the one girl he painfully lost, the one girl he again now loves.

One by one, the harsh circumstances under which their relationship takes place slowly and gradually takes everything away from him, including rest of his friends, school, money, and even family.

However, all this is fine for Haruto, for he loves Eba so much that he is willing to sacrifice everything.

Then, Eba says:


Haruto, now depressed, goes on a rage rape rampage, aka RRR, raping all the girls he ever knew. He then disappeared from everyone's eyes, ironically, with Eba, the one who took everything away from him.

His head is later found on a boat, embraced by a corpse of a pink-haired girl...
