Yeah, Kanba definitely knows more about the penguindrums than he likes to reveal, which may be why he's gotten a lot less screentime lately. Perhaps we will see what he's been doing behind the scenes in future episodes?

Besides that, this episode was really odd, especially with the frog eggs; I'm very glad that that plan didn't go through. And Project M = Maternity, so now poor Shouma has to somehow get Ringo into Tabuki's bed...

Yup, and I don't think it's going to end well, either. Maybe some NTR, too.

Wow. I think it's safe to say that Ringo's identity has completely collapsed now. Tabuki not only moved to a high-class condo, but Ringo's rape failed and Yuri showed up. Then the diary fell several stories up into a puddle, then was promptly torn in half. And Ringo only gets the first half, which most likely contains everything she has already done. And her dad's remarrying, too. You could tell things were going to come crashing down. Nobody like Ringo thanks a person before the objective is completed nor do they let you eat their cake.

Shoma showed a different side of himself as well. Since his identity has revolved around his moral character, it will be interesting to see changes in him. How deep does his "darkness" go? Is it a result of something Kanba has done? After all, there is no way to know for certain that episode 1 was the first time Kanba did something not-so-platonic with his sister.

Also, Shoma's Kermit-face was hilarious.

Ok well now we know what the M meant, but most of us were already assuming it stood for Maternity, I was still wasn't sure, but I had some thoughts.

Obviously Ringo wasn't going to find Tabuki in his house, I kinda knew that was coming since they made it the cliffhanger of last weeks episode, but that she still tried it again, and at his new place, and even to go so far as dressing up as his wife Yuri, I am impressed indeed, though at the same time, rape is still rape.

Kinda wondering who that biker was(Celty? lol) I can only imagine it was Masako, or some other woman, though I don't recall being introduced to any other possible females characters that want the dairy. So I'll just stick with it being Masako.

Damn, another cliffhanger and damn, not Shoma....not Shoma!

Kanba is a real jerk. He has no romantic sense at all. (He was also terribly off-model this episode.) Once again, poor Shoma. He gets another dose of sleeping drugs in his food by yet another crazy stalker girl. Except this time, he's bound and gagged to a table with a scalpel and multiple blowtorches in his face. Can your luck get any worse?

Hat-Mario is certainly more conservatively dressed than Hat-Himari. I wonder if the same kind of words will come out of Hat-Mario's mouth.

Ugh. Information overload. And in a bad way. There's something unsettling about a show that is still bringing in stuff with zero foreshadowing halfway through the series. We knew about Sanetoshi, but now he has Dark Bunnies in tow. Dark Bunnies aren't the only thing popping out of the wood-work. We get "Mary", a Goddess, Yggdrasil, Tabuki's fingers, sheep (which aren't even the Catherine kind), and the revelation that the Takakuras had only one child at the time. Why bring up the concept of a Goddess now, instead of continuing to blame "Fate" like it's been doing the past 11 episodes?

Seeing her right from the start, and recalling that last episode we see Satenoshi tell Masako he knows who has the other half of the Dairy. So right off the bat I could tell Yuri had the other half. I don't like Shouma pushing Ringo away, but that's just how his character acr/development is going now, so understandable. Also after hearing Yuri first mention who she loved so dearly, easy to guess, for me, that she was talking about Momoka, and then I thought, "oh so we're going to get a lesbian rape scene?" and lo and behold success!

So Shouma's parents weren't really responsible for Momoka's death? and it looks like double-H might be make a improvement in the storyline too

...Yeah, I got nothing. Most of what happened wasn't even occurring in the present. I thought the Mario possession was another weird dream sequence. And there was that very out-of-place Ringo-admits-she's-Shouma's-stalker-now moment.

Yeah, I really have no idea what to expect. Everything is being obfuscated by symbolism and the disjointed narrative. Take this episode for instance, what was the point of shoving most, if not all of Natsume's backstory here? None of the answers I can come up with are satisfactory. The Grandfather's possession of Mario was also very non-nonsensical. Then there's to connection between Sanetoshi and the organization Kanba works for. And nevermind that the cliffhanger of the previous episode was completely ignored. We see no Yuri nor the second half of the diary. We get no clue as to what Yuri is going to do with it. We get a couple minutes of Shouma and Ringo instead. While it was nice to see, it felt placed in a random spot. And Shouma's friend is no where to be seen.

Episode really just felt like it was pseudo-filler, if not filler. Yeah I bet some where along the line this episode might prove to have something of importance, maybe, probably not, but here's hoping this episode wasn't a total waste of time. Only thing I enjoyed was Yuri's "rickrolling" of Masako.

It's like someone said, "Oh hey, we almost forgot about that cliffhanger in episode 15." So Tabuki has the same goals as Yuri ... maybe. I mean, lying to her face about how he didn't care about the Takakuras, then turning around to play lay out some "punishment" doesn't seem like someone who has the same goals would do. Of course, this means that Tabuki is likely even more manipulative and more crazy than Yuri. Now, this brings up the question of why neither he nor Yuri acted to grab the diary earlier in the series. I pray there's a good reason, otherwise it's just going to be another AnoHana.

But poor Ringo ... she has it the worst of all the not-dead people in this anime.

Yep, makes episode 16 totally pointless if any one was still believing it had meaning. I can't help but point out how during Tabuki and Yuri's conversation Yuri does say, "Momoka is not dead", of course that probably could mean something emotionally and not actually literally, but I am still clinging to my initial belief that Momoka isn't dead. We've been getting more and more flashback and finally seeing what she looks like, but the first half of this series lacked that so much that I couldn't help but cling to that possibility. I think Tabuki>>>Yuri. As for why they didn't grab the dairy sooner, yeah I need to know why they didn't its really gonna bug me.

Haha Ringo, idk what to say about her. I hope things improve on her end.

Oh hey, we finally get confirmation that it was Shouma in Himari's flashback ten episodes ago. But just what is Shouma if he can get a fate apple? Are his memories gone, too? And how is he still written to be useless after all this time? On another note, we get some interesting information. Kanba seems to be in casual contact with his parents, and the "good doctor" wants to get fate on track, possibly to bring Momoka back.

And we're still pulling bullshit out of the ass. Nothing like taking the worst aspects of Star Driver and AnoHana, right? Everything was cohesive up until the Ringo arc ended, then the series decided to shit itself. The only thing Shouma did throughout the series was die. For about a minute like everyone else who has died in this show. Ringo knows the spell from Double-H? How the hell does that work!? And Momoka just up and leaves? What the fuck?!

In case you haven't noticed yet, I'm mad. It's impossible for me to even remotely begin to try to not exaggerate how shitty this series is.
