Made more sense than Destiny. Besides calling 00 retarded without saying why makes your statement invalid.
Ah quite so, What I mean Is that out of nowhere the bad guys have a super-powerful gundam, One of the main characters finds out he's a superbeing an innovator or whatever they were, and then all that nonsense to get the double 00 In the end he fights in his original gundam.
And Setsuna being a True Innovade was built up all the way through the second half but they were subtle about it. There are alot of things to complain about when it comes to 00 S2 but those things are not it.

Ribbons have strong finacial backings, its not surprising if he have strong units at the end. Besides would anybody want Ribbons to pilot something like a GN-X against Setsuna?
For Setsuna being a pure innovator, it could actually be traced back from season one. Why? GN particle infection that is affecting Setsuna. Why only Setsuna not others? Because he's the one been fighting the longest in a Gundam that uses true GN drive especially more with 00 Raiser twin drive system. Given time others might follow...
The last battle is pretty self explanatory why they have to fight in a weaker units. Also its a special service to the people who have been following the Gundam series given Gundam 00 is aired during the 30th Gundam anniversary. New Generation vs the Old Generation. Other than that, you just want to find a reason to complain. :(
Anyway here are some extra additional scene from the series I found in YouTube.
awesome vids temcor and I do agree that the last battle is pretty much self-explanatory. There not too many gundam series that followed gundam 00's formula for the final battle, though in some mecha series this trend is prevalent.
Gundam 00 is perhaps one of the prettier looking gundam series of late, but it doesn't bring back the "essense" of gundams...
It's like a Wing, and hell Wing was better, where many gundams exist and it retains the original soul of gundams where they are percieved as "fear" and "power" the story and pilots lack proper development. Don't get me wrong though. This series did produce some damn AWESOME characters like Ali Al Saachez and Lock-on it doesn't give the series enough justice...
Perhaps its just me ranting on, but 00 is nice, but there are so many better Gundams to watch. I wouldn't watch say Seed and Seed/Destiny over this definately because they just suck balls, but I would dare say this was terrible compared to ZZ Gundam and that itself wasn't too flashy...
I agree with you Chaofan. But I will add that 00 was actually turning out to be an okaygundam series, right up until towards the end on first season. ZZ was bad but, yeah 00 is still not as good.

Cool! Shinryou agrees eh? The ending of 00 first season had potential. Should have done a Tomino and killed EVERYTHING... It would have been manly
I finished the 00 series a few days ago. I didn't like how they never explained how Veta operated. None of the Gundams were exceptionally strong except for that BS move that 00 uses, Quantamlization. And I found it ridiculous that the 00 had a unnecessary giant beam saber.. might as well make it a beam that shoots multiple times without charge. Also I found similarities to another anime, Code Geass. The idea to become the enemy of the world to unite it.(maybe it was just me over thinking it.)
Well, while I can't say that this one is my favorite gundam series, I will say that it is good. Overall, the gundams seem almost unnatural, like they were over designed, and the MS seem like they belong in a Armored Core game. The characters aren't bad, neither is the music and combat styles, which continue to impress.
It's good to see that Gundams are evolving and taking on new lives, but 00 doesn't hold my attention. Something about the overly dramatic art style has me pause. At least it isn't Seed Destiny. Never really could bring myself to like that series.
Overall as a High-class Gundam pilot/critic, I'd give it a eight to be fair.
PS. It would have been a seven or six, but then I'd just be being spiteful as it isn't my favorite.
