There are different, more valid reasons for people to be prejudiced against the show before viewing it, but this is only in address to those that dislike the show because of its visual aspect. The visual aspect of an anime alone is quite possibly one of the worst reasons to quantify a show as "bad".
My judgement is not based off with the artwork or chara design, it's the writer and his history. Call me prejudiced, but this is how my experience tells me.

I watched Heroman, and enjoyed it. If I could enjoy watching that then there's no way I could speak ill of AGE until watching it all.
Heroman, once again is fundamentally different, and it's already in trusted hands of Nanba Hitoshi, who is responsible for Eureka Seven, Gosick and Area 88. In contrast to Akihiro Hino, who
only did Inazuma Eleven.

So, in the end
I have no Trust at all for Akihiro Hino, and the fact that it was announced in Comic Corocoro.
And seriously of this is a "groom new fan" ploy, it's stupid, because there was no need for this. I watched "Self-destruct Gundam" when I was in 7th Grade, and I still Loved it. then How about the kids who lived to watch the 0079 era, they surely didn't need the story to be dumbed down to make them love gundam until know.
