Mobile Suit Gundam SEED & DESTINY

I know this is an old show but i only just got down to watching it and i must say this is fantastic material. Absolutely the best mecha show i have ever seen and the best out of the entire gundam franchise. The character designs have a dramatic change compared to older shows in the franchise like gundam wing and it is just great to look at.

It's either you're simple or my taste is up for judgement.

If you're fan of mech animes, Seed and S.Destiny is perhapes one of the worst mech series to ever invade your eyes. It's like a broken record, rewinding scenes and plot from the older gundam series.

Actually Gundam SEED was an alright series. SEED Destiny however was a total disaster. Half way through the series, everything was changed which left the Minerva and its crew expendable.

Shinn was suppose to be the main character, but for some unreasonable reason, it changed to Kira which was completely unnecessary. Not only the, Strike Freedom became so unbelievably rigged, the battles just became boring and predicable.



All in all, SEED Destiny was a BAD Gundam title. It had lots of potential but was sadly wasted.

Said what i wanna say....SEED was cool..fine...but destiny was crap

Just wanna add more opinions bout Seed Destiny.

Do you know Chiaki Morosawa??
He was a storywriter who made Seed Destiny became so shitty.

The biggest distortion that Morosawa's influence brought in was attempting to make the series a strict drama, as opposed to what would work for it as a science fiction story. Naturally, the largest differences would be with characters.

For example, Kira wouldn't be whoring all the attention, meaning he probably wouldn't get such god mod powers with the Strike Freedom. The god tiered pretty boy model definitely isn't an uncommon archetype, but it just doesn't work in a story about wartime, when you're not supposed to have a convenient "God Mode" switch lying around. He also wouldn't hijack Destiny as the protagonist, but hey, who's keeping track?

Also, SEED isn't QUITE dead, just yet. They're still cranking out new stuff, such as VS Astray, which is just fine, because Astray is infinitely better. If they want to keep Cosmic Era running, what they SHOULD do is place more focus on non-SEED characters, like how UC isn't ALL just about Amuro and Char. Astray is a perfect medium for this, as it tells stories from all around the spectrum.

I agree with you there. I would like to see Astray be animated to a full length series. Stargazer was good too. I wouldn't mind either of them to be made into 25 or 50 episodes.

In my opinion Seed was decent save for the some emotional Kira moments, Gundam Seed Destiny just felt unnecessary.
