Monkey D. Luffy Love intrest? ( One Piece)

Ok this has been bugging me for a while considering the manga author of one piece keeps hinting at a relationship of some sort. Ive got to find the answer to who monkey d. luffy will most likely be in a relationship with when and if the series ever does come to an end or a point where your forced to start developing romances. Anyways i think its either going to be Boa Hancock or Nami, from the way the series is looking right now. Anyways feel free to discuss and elboarate on the issue of monkey d. luffys romance life in One Piece.

I did consider it thats why i had a none of the above option lol, so if you want to throw a gay relationship in there go ahead be my guest! I never said that it was restricted to woman only.

Also on that note what makes you say that theres a gay relationship that runs through one piece in terms of the male main characters besides the obvious gay things such as No.2 and the Isle of men etc etc... just out of curiosity?

hmmm... luffy isn't the saying-I-love-her kinda guy... he's more of a "SANJI! I'M HUNGRY!! I WANT MEAT!!"

so I guess there's no one fit for him, or his personality for that matter...

i think luffy won't have any love interest untill the end of the series, cause it'll kind of feel weird in the storyline won't it?

Luffy won't have a love interest, and I doubt he'll have one. ever.




Remember guys that, from the start of the series (that's counting at least 10 years), there has been only ONE Romantic Interest related to Luffy (Boa Hancock), and even that is one-sided. It took 10 years for the Mangaka to make a Love Interest, so I really doubt that Luffy would be gettin any pussy for sometime.

There doesn't always have to be a love interest. In fact, One Piece is a better series because there isn't that "Who will end up with who?" bullshit.

Ya i guess but personally i think that something like the scenario of best friends on the surface and show them as best friends throughout the series kind of deal but behind closed doors there actually in a relationship kind of deal, a subtle romance kind of gig of some sort lol.

He doesn't have any, and i kinda suspect he's gay, i mean, Boa flashed her boobs before him and he's like "Durr hurr why are yo nekkid??", and she's like "...."

I also don't think that guy will find someone whom he would fall in love with, he's just a lost cause lol. Anyways I don't really watch One Piece that much, but why not just choose who'd be a nice couple with Zoro rather than Luffy.

I have not been reading One Piece for quite a while now, but from my past experiences with the manga and anime, I don't think Luffy is the type who would fall in love... or at least love relationships aren't the top of his priorities.

I don't think Luffy's the romantic type of a guy who actually aims for love or a girl. In my opinion he might be loved by one of the girls but he's more interested in eating and fighting than actually love.

I guess thats true for the most part but based on the reasults of this poll so far I would have say that it would be possible for luffy to maintain a romantic life with boa hancock because hes becoming uber strong shes already uber strong they both have some sense of adventure. I could possibly see a sort of layed back down time kind of relationship going , but it wouldnt like be over the top them all over each other kind of relationship more just like fellow pirates with a uber close relationship. I guess the best way to put it would be a friends with benfits relationship plus a little attached.

Luffy is one of my favorate characters ever.

I'd really, really, really like to see him get together with Nami, but I think that honestly, she's going to get together with Zolo and him with NecoRobin.

Though Luffy doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would just harbor a feeling of love. If he loved a girl he would just go out and say it.

Who knows? Speaking of that, does anyone know how far the series is in Japan? I keep up with Shonen Jump.

ugh...no. luffy is just too cool(or gar) to fall in love. he got his pirate king dream to fulfill first.

I agree with this guy but i chose nami.

I think that if luffy ever does have a relationship it'll be like what happened to Goku. Someone will just randomly confess to him and he'll go "sure why not?"
