If this topic idea has been brought up in the past, I apologize...
I made an honest attempt to search for it on forums, and did not find it.
This topic is for your opinions regarding:
Characters that died, and were brought back to life, but should have remained dead for various reasons.
An example would be a man dying for a great cause, and his retarded revival ruined what was a great scene, and he never is that great character he was before he died.
I ask that the cast of DBZ be left out of this, if only for the reason that a post can be
millions hundreds of characters long just from it alone.
To start off, here are mine:
Massive spoilers of: Naruto, Zero no Tsukaima Season 2 and Season 3, and Clannad - After Story.
You have been warned.
From 'Naruto': Kakashi in Pein's invasion. Was amazing. I totally thought 'Naruto' was approaching its climatic ending of epic proportions. Nope. This was before I learned that 'Naruto' will never end. How ignorant I was for a time.
From 'Zero no Tsukaima - Futatsuki no Kishi': Hiraga Saito. A death as noble and valiant as any I've seen in anime. Beautiful set-up, beautiful execution, ahh, it was marvelous. Then he comes out of nowhere, saved by some elf who'll have back problems before she's 30. Deus ex machina. I hate you.
From 'Zero no Tsukaima - Princesses no Rondo': Colbert. He also went out like a man; in repentance for past evils, saving those important to him, refusing to use an ability to save himself to keep an oath to himself. Then he comes out of NOWHERE in season 3. Pointless. Ruined something I greatly enjoyed.
From 'Clannad - After Story': Furukawa Nagisa. I'm probably the only one who feels this way, but watching Tomoya's life for seven episodes with Nagisa dead, and his struggling to make ends meet as a single father was some of the best anime I've ever seen. Highly realistic, highly emotional. A rather unusual premise, too. A single 'father'? It's always widows in these dramas. I just felt that the story felt obligated to bring her back. I personally would have liked to seen him fall in love with another, and try to live as happily as he can with this new woman, whoever it would have been. The fact that it HAD to be Nagisa disappointed me. Yes, I know they were just following Nagisa's arc. I never played the game. I don't care. :P
Those are what I can think of off the top of my head. Feel free to vent your anger as well. Please do so in a funny manner.
