After "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" and "Summer Wars", "Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki", also known as "The Wolf Children", is the latest work by director Hosoda Mamoru.
Our female protagonist, Hana, falls in love with a werewolf, and bears him two children, Ame and Yuki, as stated in the title of the movie. However, with an unfortunate death within the family, Hana is soon left to bring up her two children, in a society where wolves are shunned. The rural countryside provides some solace, but eventually, there will come a day when both Ame and Yuki have to choose their path in life.
Upon reading the local newspapers, I realized that "Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki" will be screening in selected cinemas. Furthermore, my workplace has started selling merchandise related to the movie. Thus, I am quite confident "Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki" will not disappoint viewers.
The following are short preview videos which I found on youtube. I have a feeling I may shed some tears while watching the movie, either at a local cinema, or when I purchase the DVD.
Will my fellow Fakku members support "Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki" too?

I totally feel the same. I'm behind you all the way, Gambler. Really looking forward to the release of the movie.
Just watched the movie, and, while I wish that the ending had come after showing more of how Ame & Yuki grew up & got older, I still think it was very good.
It's a decent movie for what it wants to be. There's not much outside of that though. The content feels surprisingly sparse considering it nearly runs 2 hours. Not enough details in the "epilogue".

I'm not quite sure what epilogue you mean. Unless you were being sarcastic. (Because I thought I'd seen the whole film, and the credits end at 1:57:03)
If there is an epilogue, please tell me which release has it.

Spoiler:
I'm just talking about the little time skip they did at the end. Ame got more closure than Yuki since he's just up in the mountains living life the way he wants to and giving a howl now and then. The whole thing with Souhei was just kind of left hanging there.

Great movie. Would've been a masterpiece if they went further with that.
Am I the only one who thought the bgm was just absolutely fantastic along with the animation?

Getting back on topic, I am awaiting for my copy of the DVD to arrive. Too bad I do not own a Blu-ray player, with the exception of the Playstation 3.
That's exactly why when I got my CAD/gaming PC, I sprung for a Bluray Player/Burner instead of a standard CD drive. (and it was only ~$50 more, which was, at the time I got it, not much for me.)
