HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME.

Although the art style looks WAAAAAAAAY too different.

I like it. It seems that they based it off the episode where Kyon goes to the past to help Haruhi make her alien symbols at her middle school, seems that he never went to past thus she never decided to go to his high school and never got inspirered to sub consciously make aliens, espers or time-travelers.
