Quick Summary:
A boy named Shu is dragged into the future as he attempts to save a mysterious girl named LaLa Ru from a group of fighters piloting strange crafts. He finds that this world is very different than the one he is familiar with as he is hunted down by armed children in a cavernous maze of a giant base. When he is finally captured he is tortured for days to surrender the whereabouts of a pendant that he loses during his attempt to save LaLa Ru. Now Shu is thrust into the very ranks that tried to kill him to serve as a soldier and must survive long enough to find a way to save LaLa Ru from King Hamdo.

So I just started to watch this and I am on episode 7 and boy I tell you what this show isn't bad. Now I don't really favor the English dubbing for the show but the Japanese dub is done very well and the plot/storyline just gets better and better!
Hell I near crapped my pants watching these children capturing other children to fight for their war for some nut job king who is twisted in the head (See dead cat on table for details), whose only concern is to control the world that he thinks he is saving.
(Also first time creating a thread so here is hoping for doing it right.)

Very good taste in anime you have there.
A long time has past since I've watched this thing (making a rewatch in order perhaps) but I do remember it making a very good impression on me. Gave it a try since I'm a sucker for desolate, bleak and post-apocalyptic settings but it provided far more.
