One persons blog post on Madoka Magica

So I was looking around the internet today at my leisure and all of a sudden on of the posts on another forum caught my attention. Okay a bunch of them but this one just threw me off. I thought I would get a good laugh out of the post but this is just one of those things where someone has to sit there, type something, and have nearly no clue what they are typing.

This is a blog post by a user named Ashkachan and the post was a revision of their original post they did on Madoka in March of 2011. Now I am not one to jump on ones negative criticism of nearly anything... okay I lie I may have jumped, but the point is that I do find myself enjoying a good read from someone while sitting in a fancy comfy chair with a top hat and monocle whilst holding a wine glass and taking small sips because I like to annoy people with the sound. This is one of reads where I basically would take a handkerchief, insert it into the wine glass, light it on fire, and then throw it at the person in question.

I find it hilarious that the author always seems to have a point but is unable to pur forth an argument.

The author has utterly failed to persuade me at all. Magical Girl genres are suppose to have little girls as the protagonists. That's like saying a lesbian club is sexist because only women are there.

I don't see how Madoka is really sexist in any way, but I can see completely how and why he'd be in utter rage mode by the series. It's kind of like 5 CM per Second to me. There are so many things I can find wrong with it, but there are also many things that are done right. Many of his points are spot on for me too though, like the part about the characters, fucked upness, Kyubey Satan (rofl), etc. Was a good read, thanks for sharing.

I just want to say one thing:

"Get the fuck over it. It’s just a series, people are allowed to have their opinion on it."

is a terrible argument/defensive mechanism and I would hope that no one with any intelligence would use it. One could just as easily say "Get the fuck over it. It's just an opinion, people are allowed to have opinions on opinions."

Shit is old. I can already tell that the person in question was obviously very bias against Madoka before going into it. Also, I don't think this person understands what the word "sexist" means. Meh.

I was the only one else notice that the users icon was Shura form Ao No Exorcist

and they think Madoka is sexist...just saying. (note: I love Ao No Exorcist and Shura, but come on, she's really is just there for fanservice)

I loved this series, and while it did get annoying sometimes(Madoka wont stop whining) it was still really good in my opinion. I dont like magical girl animes and I watched this, its just opinions.

Okay so added bit of info on the author. Author is fifteen years old. Not really sure what this means TBH.

That guy is an insult to us reasonable Madoka haters. It sucks because of other reasons which have nothing to do with sexism.

Not to mention a hate rant is hardly a good way to get your point across.

Yeah well when you post something like that and then it appears on 4chan and further makes it over to reddit, you kinda have a lot of criticism coming to ya.
