Once again another great chapter. With the way this chapter went, Oda seems to be setting up something big.

For one, it is becoming more apparent that Kuma has had some past with the revolutionaries. This would explain his past friendship with Ivankov and why he has sparred the Strawhats' lives on two separate occasions.

Second, the whole world, particularly the revolutionaries, are about to know that the son of the dragon is involved in the current war. This means there is a remote possibility that the revolutionaries will come to Luffy's aid.

Third, Whitebeard tells Marco that he will not forgive him if he lets Luffy die. WB's words could translate to Marco eventually becoming a strawhat. I believe WB will die in this arc, and his last words to Marco, including the fact that WB acknowledges Luffy, just may push Marco to join Luffy's crew. Plus, he actually looks more like a Strawhat than say Jinbei. Then again, I may be over analyzing things.

And let's not forget the upcoming duel between Moria and Jinbei. I just think Moria has served his purpose in the manga and there's no better way to get rid of him than a duel between two Shichibukais.

Agreed with this. But Kuma's supposed to be the creation of the gov, right? I guess we need that doctor to appear soon...



Uh, I think this absolutely won't happen. At least, I'm very sure that Dragon won't do it. From the little info we have about him, I believe he's the kind of guy who'd just say "It's because he's weak" if Luffy dies.



I don't really understand why would you think WB would be dead but...if he's gonna die, I think this makes sense. Although for now I just think that WB just ordered Marco to back Luffy up...



Well, I too think that it's time to get rid of Moria already...
