I don't believe that it will be a pay-per-view kind of site. I've looked into it a bit, and the vibe that I'm getting is that it would be a kind of subscription thing, or you would buy a magazine kind of thing, like Jump, the same way as you would if you were in Japan and walked into a 7-11 and picked up a magazine. There would probably also be one-shots and manga series that didn't get to make it into a magazine that the author still wants published, and they would have a separate thing for that (if not free)
In my opinion, this is a very good idea. I know sites have tried it before, but by the way this looks, it will be very well executed on all fronts. It may need some time to grow in the beginning, but I, for one, am STOKED. I've always wanted a way to actually buy manga and not just get butt-raped by American publishers; a way to buy manga in a way that would give the authors their fare share.
Now, this could just be optimism, and this whole thing will be a horrific abomination that people will scoff at a few years down the line, but I am willing to pay and help out in any way to get this ideal realized.
