I have been reading this for a while and it the story kept me interested so far. It's a story about true friendship, resilience and it shows how fucked up the government can be in the past. Strongly recommended!
Summary:
Rainbow is a Japanese seinen manga by George and Abe Masasumi Kakizaki whose main theme is the prison. Rainbow tells us the story of seven teenagers, Sakuragi, Mario, Heita, Kaybetsu, Suppon, Jô, Baremoto as diverse as the seven colors of the rainbow sky trying to survive in the ruthless world of a prison the 50s where they will have to coexist in the same cell. Ishihara, a vicious warden will surely harass them relentlessly in order to drive them to suicide. But they must also cope with other inmates of the prison to malicious intent. Trapped in a hell in which the bars are made of steel but also of suffering and humiliation, they expect a glimmer of hope appears in the prison world of darkness.
