Ratman

So a few days ago read in the Requests section a request for a manga called Ratman. Curious of the request I ignored and paid no mind to it as apparently it may have been some old manga or something that no one can get their hands on. Well look where I am?

It's not old. It's relatively new. 2007 was when it was originally published. It was originally licensed by TokyoPop for a while but then they dropped it along with their whole manga department.

So synopsis is this (I got lazy at the end typing this),

Synopsis: 15 year old Shooto Katsuragi aspires to becoming a superhero after meeting one early in his life. It is not uncommon to see a superhero though as being a superhero is quite popular in Japan and it is quite easy to become one. (in this manga). Later he is kidnapped by men dressed as skeletons who work for a society know as Jackal. Stuff happens, he gets a watch that makes gives him powers and he is now the pawn and test subject of the evil society, thus the story of the Supervillian (Or test subject) Ratman begins!

My opinion? I like it so far.

Wow, I've found and read this yesterday and there's already a thread about it.
I like the story so far, kinda fresh start ... I'm really looking forward for this one...
Anyway, why all the bad guys organization's grunts are so fuckin stupid? lol

Because its a parody.

Meet Shooto. He's a bit vertically-challenged. He also wants to be a hero. But guess what? Midgets can’t be heroes! Ha! So he becomes a villain instead. Sort of. Not really. Wait a minute here, why is he so heroic if he’s sup­posed to be the bad guy? And what about the so-called good guys? Why are they so… evil?

I just read it like an hour ago, Good stuff man. The Ratman suit is really badass I think, and those henchmen are a fuckin' riot.

And it took two months for a new chapter to finally come. Well I can't be too hard on the translator groups. This chapter was nice-ish. I'm gonna keep reading it til I can give a better verdict.

I like ratman alot actually, its original to me. The Jackall's are so fucking hilarious I couldnt stop laughing each time they appeared in a chapter, its sorta like *see's jackall* "oh dayum! shits gunna go down!"
