re-watching anime

does re-watching anime make some series boring?

reason i ask this is i am currently watching kanon (in an attempt to finish it for the 1st time) and i am really finding it a chore to watch again

does anyone else find this when re-watching or is it just me??

It's not just you. I sometimes find it difficult to rewatch some of the series I completed awhile back. Like some of the 13ep series are hard to rewatch. Though there are afew that I can watch over and over just because they were just that interesting and always grabbed my attention.

Long series are easy to rewatch like Bleach.

& anime that were slightly painful to watch like character and plot development not going the way you expected or wanted it to go. They're often the easiest of normal length series to rewatch because I know what is going to happen so the pain is less than before making it a more enjoyable watch.

Right now I'm about to rewatch D.Conan starting from 180+ episode... specifically on the first appearance of Ai Haibara/Shiho... oh I'm going to hear the "real" Mouri voice...

Basically, I'm mostly reatching short animes (6-13 eps) whenever I've busy, like watching 1-2 eps a day only and go for the long ones (25+ eps) in weekends (but all papers are finished)...

Clannad can be re-watched.
As can Minami-ke, and many other good anime.

I've watched Code Geass 4 times, and I wouldn't mind a 5th one sometime later. I tried re-watching Naruto and bleach, but they were too slow-paced for me to enjoy.

I rewatch specific anime if I lost track of a certain plot I missed, if they are getting a second season or just for old time's sake. I try to balance between long and short series, but I do watch out most of the short ones first before wrapping up the long ones. I have yet to fully sit down to watch a series past 75 episodes (Hikaru no Go, One Piece, Yu Yu Hakasho).

I dont find rewatching a problem. It just depends on the person. Personally I would surely re-watch an anime that i fell in love with. One would be, Sora no Otoshimono or Ano Hana.

I don't mind re-watching a series if I am doing something else at the same time. That being said, I rarely re-watch a series unless it has an english dub due to the fact I am not looking at the t.v. and I know very little Japanese.

Somewhat, I find series with more on character development hard to re-watch, once is enough I guess. For me. series like ika musume, lucky star, minami-ke, bakemonogatari, baka to test and sayonara zetsubuo which make me laugh are favorable to re-watch.

I watch Minami-ke once a year (all 3 seasons) doesnt get boring at all hahaha. Can't wait for the 4th season!

I've watched Gurren Lagann 8 times and its still as Epic since I watched it for the first time.

Really good series like clannad and angel beats I find easy to rewatch, kanon on the other hand is okay at best, it was kind of hard for me to get through it my first time too, but yeah it happens to the best of us so don't sweat it.

It depends. To me, comedy animes are enjoyable even though I watch it so many times (ex:seitokai yakuidomo)

Some series I find really easy to watch again cause I just enjoy them that much like Hajime no Ippo and Death Note. I do try to go back and retry ones I never finished but this often ends in failure and I give up earlier than I did the previous time, however with Ergo Proxy I got further the second time I tried but still have yet to finish it, never know, third time's the charm.

I think some get better the more times you watch it. I rewatched KissxSis 3x and each time i noticed different stuff that i thought was funnier. I re-read To Love Ru 7x and also each time gets funnier and i notice alot of jokes i didnt see before. But when i re-read/re-watched them, some of the parts that i didn't like seemed very long and tedious.

I depends, I can rewatch some short series like SAIKANO, or long series like bleach, but I like the story and characters, but girls of Bravo or kaze no stigma I can't re-watch, damn it even Clannad having Kotomi I can't bringmyself to rewaatch it.

I rewatched the Super Robot Wars series twice because its mostly about epic mecha fanservice. Really could care less about the plot since its pretty similar to most gundam plots save the aliens. All about flashy attacks and character development.






Pretty much 70% of the most most awesome scenes of the Super Robot Wars series.

i enjoy re-watching anime especially if its with friends. normally if im alone it depends on how much i liked the show. ive rewatched Baccano! and Darker than Black at least 4 times each but a show like Baka Test even though i liked it i would not re-watch it because its not on the same level as Baccano! and Darker than Black.
