"Rushed" series

Ok so we all know there's some manga and anime out there that seem "rushed". I happen to see these sort or comments in manga that happen to be short stories like shoujo manga or the not too popular manga that are out.

What's the go with stating a series is rushed, when people don't even realise the situation the mangaka may be in? I mean, i know it's just their opinion, but it's damned annoying when they say it was rushed when they dont even have a decent reason to back their opinion up, and don't know the circumstances behind the mangaka ended the manga alittle short.

That's all well and good if you're talking about manga and there is just one guy doing basically everything, but for anime when you have a whole team and tons of money poured into it, there is no excuse for something feeling rushed.

Ore no imouto and HOtD are two rushed animes.. because there only a few chapter difference between the season finale and the actual manga.

Angel beats is rushed.

Woops I never said what I thought was rushed...Gosick, <--was really disappointed by this show.

I remember reading the manga Yakuza Girl and that had potential to be a very decent manga but it really rushed itself to the end. I think it was originally based on a light novel or something but whatever



I don't know about Ore no imouto but HotD's anime never felt rushed.

Yakuza Girl felt "abnormally" rushed, if it makes any sense. Was there a specific reason for it? I smelled so much potential from it too.

Wasn't Bakemonogatari Rushed? Episode 10... that snake bro...

Looking into it more, it was not based on any other material.

There doesn't seem to be any other reason for the manga's rush to the end other than the author and artist just giving up on it.

Outlanders. Granted it was an OVA, but it encompassed so little of the manga's story. Like I said, it's an OVA and that's how it normally goes, but I still feel like it was rushed to an extreme.

Once again, you can blame the Current system of the rankings, but the rankings also shows some truth why it was cancelled. If it can't grasp the whole market it will fall behind the mainstreams.

Both of those were rushed because it was canceled.

Yes I understand the sad truth (I read Bakuman too ya know).

That's just sad. I was really hoping for more out of it.

hmm i suppose negima was rushed cos the anime caught up with the manga ... don't think i can think of any others

Yes! Someone has the same sentiments about double arts.
For rushed anime it'd have to be Angel Beats. Could have been incredible rivaling Clannad and Air, but in the end was kind of disappointing. Hope the visual novel will be better though.

Lol, i completely understand why a series is rushed, it just infuriates me when people voice it publicly, or look at a manga, see that it has say 12 chapters for example. They read it expecting something awesome then they go post on mangafox that it was rushed.

I kinda feel sorry for the mangaka, who put so much time and effort into the manga, only for leechers to not appreciate their art properly :/

As for a series that i think is rushed, despite having a manga and novels backing the anime up, id have to agree with an earlier post and say Oreimo. so much dialogue and storyline for atleast 2-3OVA's to sum up the story properly but no.

The Air Gear anime seemed rushed it doesnt even compare to the manga
