Saki Episode 10

Meganekko battle!

At the start we have another character who seems wanting to see Nodoka in action, I wonder if she will be a rival for the next season, if there is one..



Then we have a scene after the battle seeing how each players think of their Mahjong battles. Poor Taco-chan but what can you do, your opponents are really strong especially Mihoko, who can read other people's tiles though I'm sure she have some sort of strong memories that can remember Mahjong tiles like that one guy in Akagi.



Also we are treated for some Yuri moments. I'm sure there are people who enjoyed this part.



Well, for a short while that is. I wish there were more of this battle, for some reason I think the battle was really short and doesn't seem to be satisfying as the last one. However, I do enjoy the klutzy megane of Tsuruga academy playing the game.



I was expecting something from Ryuumonbuchi's megane but she kinda disappoints me. So does Touka whose ahoge kinda rotates when scolding, funny.



As pointed by Hermit, Koromo is so cute. I can say this is the most adorable/cute scene from this episode involving Koromo. You really want to hug and pet Koromo when you watch the scene.





Well, one the next episode we're going to see how the president will play the game. Oh and the ED change again to the second ver. I'm not sure why they kinda randomly change the ED though...

Lesson Learned: Anime titles featuring captains in some kind of team usually have some form of mad hax ability. :eng101:

The president may not be the captain for the tournament, but she is still the leader of the mahjong club. In b4 she wins with a kokushi musou? :D

A Kokushi Musuo? A Yakuman huh, it would be much more if she is the Oya and winning the East round. That would be a killer win. :)

Can't wait to see what the President has up her sleeve.

I always like how they manage to work something into their character designs that has something to do with their skill.

So, going by that, President must have some ability that uses her twin tails hair.

You know what would be more awesome than Kokushi Musou? Tenho Kokushi Musou.

I have never obtained a winning hand of Kokushi Musou ever since I started playing mahjong. Neither have I won via Tenho.

Tenho Kokushi Musou! I'm gonna drop my jaw if that actually happens...

If you'll allow me, I'll make some comments.


Weren't those two Nodoka and Yuuki's former mahjong-team/school mates? I doubt she/they'll become another rival. (they're not even from the same region anymore, I think)

Also, I bet you'd be pleased to know that there ain't gonna be a second season for the series, at least not any time soon... because the series is most likely going to continue up to next (summer) season, for about 24-26 episodes in total. :razz:

Cute, but I found nothing special whatsoever with those two characters.


She Bawwwed. Needless to say that she was the least lulz-inducing one in the episode... even though she managed to recover later on and called Kyoutaro a dog.


The least enjoying part for me. (I wonder why...) :roll: (lol)


She can also be pretty cute at times, in fact I like her; second only to Koromo of course.

But of course! She has got to be the "cutest" character in the entire series! :D

The scene where she approached the penguin and started poking on it was the best!


I believe the ED theme changes whenever Nodoka and Saki's YURI level reaches its max. :lol:

Needless to say that the themes are pretty much dependent on the mood, as Kiyosumi was clearly losing at that point, it was more fitting for the 2nd theme to mark the episode to a close.


That's pretty much a given. :wink:


Going up against Akagi, "The Genius who Descended into the Darkness", was OVERKILL! :lol:
