Saki Episode 6, 7 and 8

Ok since I haven't seen any episode discussion of Saki since episode 4 I decided to post my thoughts and opinion on 3 episodes of the anime which is episode 6,7 and the most recent episode 8. I hope people don't mind.
Episode 6
The Mahjong tournament has started. Saki got separated from the group and during the time searching for them passes by the Ryuumonbuchi team and they sensed a strong aura from Saki though I’m not sure what kind of aura it is…
On the first match the Kiyosumi Team easily destroying their competition starting with Taco-chan who shows their opponents the Kiyosumi Mahjong club is not to be underestimated. The match continues with Mako and the president doing a good job keeping the team in the lead. Finally its Nodoka turn to play carrying her penguin plushie which leads us to…
Episode 7
Continuing from episode 6, its Nodoka’s turn to play for the Kiyosumi. There is a reason of why she have to carry the penguin plushie or †˜Etopen’ into the tournament. It seems to have something to do with her being relaxed and comfortable when playing mahjong. Also in this episode we also get to know that Nodoka is the legendary angel †˜Noddochi’ which is well known in the net mahjong for her amazing playing skill. I guess know we know why she looks like that in the op. Nodoka easily wins the match and Saki takes her turns, however they didn’t her playing in the anime. We know that she played really well and caught the attention of the audiences including two of the players from Ryuumonbuchi. The leader Touka still concerned about Noddochi though…
On the next match we have Jun representing Ryuumonbuuchi who seems pretty confident that she (I’m sure Jun is a girl since she’s wearing a skirt). Second round went pretty fast and here we are shown Kazekoshi team winning and a little bit of how they are treated by their advisor. I kinda pity the girls. Ryuumonbuchi, Kiyosumi and Tsuruga team (we’re yet to see the players from this team) made it to the semifinal. This episode have a different ED which I’m not sure why…
Episode 8
A less exciting episode for me, but I guess you can call it kind of a †˜calm before the storm’ episode. Well we get to see a bath scene of the Kazekoshi team, fans of the team might be delighted though the captain didn’t remove her towel so not much of a fan service there…
In this episode we get to know about Kiyosumi’s Mahjong Club past when the president talking with Mako during their walk home. Mako seems kinda surprised when the president kinda complimented her for being the reason of the president keeping the club going. For some reason the president and Mako kinda reminded me of Akagi(Gori) and Kogure(Megane-kun) of Slamdunk anime.
We’re also shown the other team, we get to know a little bit of Kazekoshi †˜s reason they need to win, Ryuumonbuchi preparing for the next match which they need their star player Koromo to play in the team and another team which show us a little glimpse of a mysterious player. I have no idea why smoke is coming out of her body…

6 and 7 were interesting. 8 wasn't so much. 8 highlight was the bathing scene, of course.

Lol yeah, and she was actually sleeping before she started eating her taco. Taco-chan is so amusing to watch.

The smoke or fog like white substance is actually one of GONZO's marketing (money-making) strategies, I believe. I guess it's safe to say this: Watch out for the DVD version of the series! (if you know what I mean) :D
Anyways, as I've already said at the general thread, I so can't wait to see Koromo!!! Also, the yuri developments are quite disturbing as always. The scene [ep.8] where Saki and Nodoka pinky-swear (again), not to mention when they held each others hands as they dreamily gazed at the starry night-sky together... I'd rather see Kyoutaro have his way with Nodoka. (WTF is he waiting for, she's obviously asking for it!) :D
As the ED theme is concerned (as I've also mentioned), I simply love the original/first one. Plus the sequence of that particular theme alone shows you how eccentric Yuuki is as a character. She's never failed to amuse me. That being said, I'd also love to see her have it her way with Kyoutaro (just as much as I'd love to see him rape Nodoka). They're probably the only "decent" couple in the entire series. :lol:

I wonder if the final boss, which I assume would be Saki's sister, would make an appearance in the anime and tournament, apart from flashbacks?

I had a discussion about this with my friend and he thinks its something like an aura only mahjong players can see, sounds reasonable enough. Also tahnks for the rep man. :)

I have already watched episode 9, and the first round of the match already took an episode for it. We still have 4 more players from each school to play and that will definitely be the last 4 episodes of the anime. Expect a topic for this episode later unless someone beats me to it.
