I heard that Season 3's story starts 10 years after the 2nd time appearance of the Bal Masque at Yuji's Town. Shana is gone that time and Yuji is Working now. *I get it from yahoo answers*

I've been waiting for this! This probably sounds weird but I want to see Yuji kick ass. But of course I'd like to see Shana eat melon pan, etc.

I would like to see them contiune the story... and not get stuck on a freaking love triangle for an entire season...

Which reminds me I should get around to watching Season 2...

Kazumi is cute and appealing to me in her own way separate from Shana, so I am also looking forward to moar of her as well, same goes for Hecate nano desu

J.C.Staff just announced in the July issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko Magazine that the third and final season of one of their heavyweight adaptations, Shakugan no Shana, will begin airing in 2011's Fall season.

Interestingly, having stuck true to the light novels for both the first and second seasons, J.C.Staff is opting for an anime-original ending this time and making this their final adaptation even though the light novels are still ongoing. Sales of SnS II were strong, and the light novel is very popular in Japan. It's strange they are not milking this cow any longer. Maybe it's because they have Index now? (To be honest, Index is definitely a far superior series)

This is long, loooong overdue.
Maybe the production staff did not like how the light novel was going and had 'superior' ideas in mind or just wanted to end the series early and not have to be bothered by again-J.C Staff has long been harassed by their adaptation of Shana after second season. Or maybe they'll be like FMA and make another season with true ending?

3rd season! I thought it ended in 2nd season but I glad to hear it ^^. May the ending is marvelous

an anime original ending huh... I hope they could pull a good one though and not leave it up to the viewers imagination. Its good to see loli tsuns having a good ending and go dere dere at the last EP.

I think I have forgotten the character of Sakai.. Was Touma>Hayate>Saito>Sakai??
