Here's the thing, I watch & read Josei and Seinen anime/manga. Occasionally some good shoujo and maybe some shonen. If you mean shonen by generic shonen anime then I would prefer shoujo. Yes there is a u(sometimes)

well I usually tend to read Shonen for the action and adventure, but occasionally I'd read a Shoujo for the plot and cozy romance, but i rarely see a shoujo manga with art i like so i've only read a dozen good ones

i prefer shonen than shojo...everytime i read shojo, i feel my eyes hurt...the artwork is too shining...8)

Depends on the mood. If i want something with action or a quick read usually i go with shonen. If i want plot and something to read for a while (more then one manga) i go with shoujo

I prefer shoujo manga as well. But I don't mind reading shonen manga occasionally.

The shonen art style is variant with different styles whereas the shojo art style is generally the same.

But when reading some shoujo or watching it, I look out for the cliche's they may have (this also applies for shonen). So I'm About 50-50 on this discussion.

I for one enjoy Shoujo as much as Shounen. I got into Shoujo when I read Vampire Knight, then Monkey High, then I went to read other Shoujo Beat mangas.
