Don't stick to the "just wanna kick ass" category for too long. It might make you stupid, but more importantly, you'll miss out on some rare gems in anime, of which AnoHana is an example. But hey, I guess that's just you.

Try Dohran, Noblesse, The Breaker, Hellsing, Berserk, and other similar. I suggest you ESPECIALLY check out Dohran and Noblesse.

-Gintama; which is a mixture of comedy and some really good action in certain arcs
-Soul Eater; good story and action scenes
-Fairy Tail; popular suggestion in this topic with an enjoyable story and good actions scenes
