you know when i first saw this i didnt know about the game so at first i thought this was going to be an average anime of girl like boy but F was i suprised! ha

Remind me how much I love Kotonoha and HATE Makoto.

Well....I like to say he tried to repent for his sins in 11 and 12.....but then I get laughed at....and people throw things at me. Hard things, that bruise me easily.

Not that he was the protaginst....I think that title belongs to love Kotonoha or Sekai more than him. Hence why we hate him, instead of symphazie or even empathize with him.

No, you were right, Mokoto is clearly the protagonist, the story is about him and his overactive sex drive. I think the reasoning behind most of the hate from him is the way he decided to go about his business... He had two beautiful girls who both had feelings for him and be basically played both against each other. This sort of thing happens in the real world all the time, it rarely goes so far as murder but it's a pretty common occurrence in North American high school. I simply believe were most people put in the situation they would either choose to ignore the kiss and stay with Kotonoha or they would start up with Sekai and tell Kotonoha it was over soon after.

A story being about someone...and them being the protaginst aren't the same thing. We are never asked to idenfiy with Makoto...we're asked to indenify with Konohata and Sekia, after ep 3 + 4. It could been the wonderful story about these girls obessesion with a ham sandwitch; he's so unimportant after that point. We are reminded that his actions cause them pain...then we see how they resolve that conflict of pain without him.

I'm not doubting his ass hat nature. Not by far.

eh Makotos story inthe end i started to like. not by his actions but the reason for them because in the beginnig hes a spaz but he gpt into some sexual situations either too fast and not really based on love so he developes his current mind seto gettin some action... i never really thought about this till his life started to get more stressfull

I understand what you mean but to be perfectly literal a protagonist is simply the main character, you could call the two girls protagonists as well but in essence you aren't required to relate to Makoto for him to be considered the protagonist, he simply needs to be the character that is followed by the story.
