you're obviously very misinformed or just delusional. since it was obvious that it's going to be Kazane Hiyori's Arc, way back when it was announced.

I'm honestly disappointed that it mostly strayed away from the manga, but I'm just glad to see Kazane Hiyori voiced and animated.

Finally watched it.
Spoiler:
So the stuff that happened in the movie is canon (minus whatever deviations there are from the manga)? It's hard to believe since the movie gives off the impression of being an anime-only side-story where most everyone forgets everything that happened. Like the first Bleach movie. It certainly didn't help that the first 30 minutes were essentially a recap that immediately told us how the story was going to end afterwards. And I generally don't like when things are so blatantly set up just to make me feel sad. I won't be watching this again. That's not to say it was bad, but what I wanted out of the movie just wasn't offered. Not surprisingly, Giant Sohara was my favorite part.
