Spice and Wolf is my favorite anime series out there.
Having said that: No idea if there will be a season 3... They have the story material to easily make a 3rd, considering there are 16 light novel and 6 manga volumes released in Japan... However, not all too often a series gets 3 seasons. And while Spice and Wolf is greatness to teh max, it's too unique a style of anime to easily fit into the mainstream.
Who knows though, Season II had a much higher budget, and the overall production quality was amazing, which makes me want to believe they'll keep it rolling with a 3rd season.
Have to wait(hope) and see
Remember Zero no Tsukaima? That anime had three seasons, but I'm guessing that industry isn't budging for a 4th one, no matter the amount of raging Louise fans.
If they're shooting for a third season, my expectations are really fucking high.
I hope the 3rd season will have about 24-26 episodes, kinda what K-On! did. 12 episodes first season, 24 episodes in the second.
