So it's finally here!
Mazui picked it up first, I don't really know if there are any better fansub groups going to pick it up too, so for now we have to go with these fastsubs.
I would appreciate anyone able to rate the quality of these subs to make a comment.
As for the episode, there are some flashbacks to season 1, and Horo is back with all her epicness. The animation is better than in S1 (at least I think so).
There's not much to say about the plot in this ep since it's 1st episode and all.
Nonetheless, it met my expectations and I'm looking forward to the next episode.
If I have some time today, I'll try to upload the OP and ED songs on youtube.
Opening:
Ending:
Both of them don't sound very catchy first time you hear it, but they get kinda stuck in your head after few more hearings.
Here are some pics:
Spoiler:
Horo teases Lawrence as usual, but he's trying to fight back.
Horo needs to excercise a little (and I would gladly help her).
We meet a young, skilled merchant.
And he falls in love with Horo.
Horo looks great even while drunk.
In the meantime, Lawrence makes some bussiness.
And finally, they discuss how to get Horo to her hometown.
First episode was great and I loved it, I love it when Horo teases Lawrence every time and I was mad when he said, "You're not my type". The expression on Horo's face after that made me a little mad at him, but then when he turned around and Horo was all happy and in his face I was like "Just as planned by Horo". I love it when Horo gets drunk, she's so cute and my other favorite part is when Horo raises her ears when Lawrence finds out all the Inn's are booked. I can't wait for the next episode.
I can't understand japanese too well but you could definitely tell when they were joking around with each other in the inn that something was off. The translation was probably correct but they could've used better choices for words.
when i saw this thread yesterday i freaked out and went to zomg to see if it was up and then i watched it...
not much i can say about this besides the fact of how glad that the second season is out.....this is one of the few anime that im watching right now
horo was cute...is cute...and will always be cute...
Hells, watching Horo screw around with Lawrence is bad for my moral fiber. I get this strange and powerful urge to slip a dagger between his ribs.
Overall, it's a good start to S&W II. The animation is still good, the voicing is still wonderful, and the story still well paced.
I'm not too keen on the new OP and ED, tho'. I gave Lamz0r's idea a go, but they just didn't stick in my head. I loved Tabi no Tochuu when I first saw it because it set a wonderful, wistful tone to the story, and Ringo Hiyori was so unexpected the first time I saw it that it stuck with me.
The new Op is a little too upbeat for my image of the show, but whatever. It's not like it's bad.

Tabi no Tochuu and Apple Song were like instant love you know. I wasn't really expecting the new ones to beat it but it's still very good and fitting to the series.
