For the 73rd class of cadets of the Defense University of the small planet Kibi, a shakedown cruise on the fleet's new starship "Amaterasu" is a fitting lead-up to graduation. As they are returning to their home planet, however, they are shocked to hear news of a declaration of war by the aggressive Kingdom against Kibi. When their planetary government surrenders without a struggle, the cadets decide to launch their own war, aboard the "Amaterasu". To gain funding, they make a deal with a galactic news network - and find themselves the "stars" of their own "reality show". Unfortunately, this is the kind of reality show that can get you killed.Well I checked the master list, nothing on this show produced by J.C.Staff back in 2005 nano desu. Now at first you might find the story to seem odd, I mean there's space, there's a war, but the television network? Yea it kinda add something weird into the mix nano desu. However don't think this is ur typical shounen space was stuff, this series give a good example of what space warfare could be, battles being decided before you could even see the enemy, firing a blast from ur main cannon and that's it battle over, and they even take note of the fact that in space, there is no sound, hence the TV presence, "we added the sound effects".
Now if your interested in the cast I'll just name three
Our female lead Shinon Kouzuki is none other than Shizuka Itou (By now I shouldn't have to name characters she's voiced)
As for two other female roles I'll just throw these two names out Akeno Watanabe and Masumi Asano

The entire casts isn't large but a fair amount of characters get some time, a little development and for those who have seen this series, let me say the ending makes perfect sense to be, I don't see how it could've ended any other way nano desu.
So if you looking for some space techno language and some nice character designs (imo) and the plot has you interested enough I recommend you give this one a look nano desu ^_^
I don't know if any torrents are out and working for this series or not so I am nice enough to provide MU links for each episode nano desu

Oh yep. I'll definitely take a look as soon as good subs come in. I'm getting more itchy for good anime out there, might as well try each one.

I've gotta say, I'm liking it so far. The animation is top notch, the VA is excellent, and the ship looks awesome.

Watched the anime and liked it a lot. I recommend it to anyone else who are interested. :)
It's been done for a while and I don't think new sub groups are going to take it up so might as well find the anime now.
