I'm sooo looking forward to getting-to-know these girls! :D
Here's another light novel to anime adaptation that J.C. Staff has been working on.

The two novels (written by Atsushi Kagurasaka and illustrated by Sadaji Koike) are set in 1925 when two 14-year-old Japanese high school girls named Koume and ShÅko decide to start a baseball team in Japan where few baseball teams — male or female — exist at the time. First though, the two girls have no clue where to find nine players, how to use the equipment, and what even the rules are. (Watch the PV!)
Yet another baseball anime? Not quite, considering that it’s gonna be about an "all-girl-baseball-team" at a time where everything’s dominated by men. After Major (currently at its fifth season), Big Windup, One Outs, and currently ongoing Cross Game (which I totally can’t get enough of), I can already see myself enjoying this. I can no longer wait for my birth month to come! :D
Making this thread has long been overdue! I waited for over a month to see if anyone else would create a thread for this, seriously! Anyway, in just under 30 days, the series should finally start airing.
I'm beginning to see signs of Saki in it... a genre turned ecchi/slice of life. I'll take a look at it for sure, but I'm having my doubts. Major, without a doubt, was the best baseball anime I've ever seen so far.
First, I would disagree that Major is the best baseball oriented series out of the four I've mentioned. But clearly, this thread is not about discussing any of those, so I wouldn't bother arguing about it. In any case, I only wanted to say that having seen all four aforementioned series, Major isn't quite the best (for me) as you think it is.
Next, I doubt that this series would be anything like Saki. Either way, we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves. However, I'm confident/trusting enough to say that I'd surely enjoy this much more than I am enjoying Saki right now. :D

People tend to relate to shows which they can understand. I am not sure if you know how to play mahjong, but if I don't, then I wouldn't be enjoying Saki that much either, apart from the fanservice. :D
I was gonna comment on the topic but hermit's avatar scared me off.
[size=3]Lol. Anyways - I tend to evade sport anime like plague and have finished but a few. Still this thing looks to be more things and there were exceptions in the past when a large, variated and cute female cast provided me with a more than surprisingly pleasant watch (Bamboo Blade comes to mind).
I'll check it out if I don't die in those 30 days.[/h]
From the looks of it I don't think this will be an ecchi anime though there might be a possibility of a hot spring scene but that's kinda normal for anime. Actually I'm looking forward for this anime, instead of fanservice I'm expecting more of a drama from this anime.
First episode already started,. Subs already which I'm currently downloading(Watched the raw version first). Anyway here's a nice preview using Idolm@ster character since the characters in this anime have some sort of resemblance to the Idolm@ster girls.
Anyway this kinda reminds me of Princess 9. Maybe I should go watch it again...
Again another series I've been waiting for, I couldn't help but lol at the beginning and it's hilariously cute montage dream sequence, but anyway I have a fondness for animes with settings in that era, thou I haven't seen many, although Sakura Wars does stand out, and from a comical ecchi side Steel Angel Kurumi would be next, both taking place during the Taishou Era, (I also enjoyed Gatekeepers but that was Showa Era thou) anyway, I like baseball, I like yuri, I like the general flow of the show and animation, nothing is really making me change my mind, this is a keeper. So far out of the 4 new shows I've been able to see subbed there all keepers, can't wait for moar nano desu ^_^
I feel there was a US film about this. Girls playing baseball and the elder sister letting the little sister win in the end. Hmm... forgot the title though...
It's very nice to see spalose active in this section. I've really missed hearing your thoughts on a lot of series the past spring season... and not to forget your nano desus. :D Hopefully, I'll be seeing you around more often in this parts of the forum from now on.
And regarding the series itself, I do agree with most of what you've said (definitely not the yuri, though my yuri-sensor has yet to tingle). The first episode was truly to my delight. Both OP & ED were sung by some of the characters' seiyuus and are very catchy so no problems there either. What else (hmm..), I guess I've said the rest on Temcor's episode1 thread already... So far, out of the 9 girls, Koume's simply the cutest. I was wondering if her dream of wearing a seifuku will ever come true (and if so, when?)... although I'd have to say that I like her more in a kimono. :D
Kanae Ito, Mai Nakahara, Kana Ueda and Mamiko Noto - "Romantic Strike"
Kanae Ito - "Yume Miru Kokoro"
Oh, and if there's just one thing that I don't like, it's got to be the series being broadcast in a 4:3 aspect ratio when it's clearly intended to be 16:9 ...

I believe you're thinking of A League Of Their Own.
Well, I found the musical part of the anime too interesting I decided to find more information on it and these what I found...
First we watch the song in the anime
Then we have the original song
Interesting enough in the U.S its the Marching Through Georgia song as stated in the vid title.
Some picture of actual Taisho era building as shown in the anime.(I might delete these later)

Fuckin AWESOME Temcor, simply AMAZING! 8) You shouldn't delete those pics bro, NEVER! Let those pics stay here for all of eternity; they're definitely useful references. Nice thing that you've also found Koume's clip, back to back with the original.
You did your homework and for that you get an A+. :D (I'll +rep you twice for those... later, definitely) - so make sure you don't remove them.

Just one question. Does this have yuri?
I don't think they have Yuri in this anime. Its more like strong friendship between the girls...
@Kuroneko: Yes, Temcor's got it right. This series is more of a "girls bonding together" as friends and as a team, than of yuri. It surely is worth watching. :D
