can anyone tell me why most of harem manga protagonist always a fool, pervert, or lack of physical abilities instead the woman who love him?

i am kinda mad though, its like my pride as a man wounded when i see guy protected by women,


yeah, there are some manga that the protagonist isn't always like i described above, like keima katsuragi from TWGOK, or hayate fro Hayate no Gotoku,

but still, i am feel dissapointed...

Initially I thought you were asking why the Male protagonist has about as enough intelligence as a sack of bricks to realise when girls want to suck his sick. This trait I generally try to ignore or not think about.

But anyway, in answer to your question it's all about audience: a majority of the anime which features a "useless" male protagonist with a plethora of girls protecting him (pretty much describes all Harem anime) is aimed at the male demographic at teenage to the young adult age group. While anime featuring yaoi would be aimed at the female demographic.

If you want manly anime, stop watching Harems.

Haven't seen I"s, but anyway, isn't it usually the girls relying on the guy? Especially in the more "traditional" harems it's the guy who stands up for the girl when the standing up needs doing.

If we get "smart, cool, powerful, womanizer" character as the main male protagonist as the center of that harem, what we would get is a hentai anime.

Just look at Riser Phenex from Highschool DxD, would it be interesting to watch a guy grope around his harem for one season of an anime? You're better off watching 13 episode of different harem hentais.

They make those characters weak, indecisive to let enough room for development and growth. Nobody wants to see a romance story done in just one episode.
You don't watch harem animes to see the harems, the genre is made for the purpose of those harem shaping up.

Your examples:
Keima, doesn't care about his harem, he's just wants to get back to his normal life.
Hayate, He doesn't know that he even has a harem. The only girl that he loved was Athena.

And seriously? "pride wounded" when protected by a female, going by that I bet that you don't have any pride left since you were protected and taken care of by your own mother who's a female. Stop being so sexist.

Women can be strong too.

The main protagonist is usually weak, foolish, or perverted is probably because
he's supposed to be easy to connect with to the viewer. If he was a strong and
perfect goody-goody, you would end up rolling your eyes and go watch something else.

Besides, usually in harem anime, not all, but most of them you're going to be watching for the ladies.
You were probably attracted to the anime because of that girl's tits...

but there are some harem manga that can make you feel dissapointed about main character, LOL

so, its not that i hate that kind of protagonist, as well theay always gentle and kind hearted will be plus point to them,

OP, i got JUST the manga for you: Medaka Box. no weak heroine(hero's subpar compared to the god-like heroine) rest of the cast are over-powered allies and enemies. not much training done, moral growth is sorta the main theme of things seeing as they're monster-like characters from the get-go.
