I've never read Tenchi Muyo before, but after some quick reading about some of the characters in that verse i'll have to go with the TM-verse.
Galaxy/multiverse destroying capabilities and reality warping is too much for team Negima.

I dunno about that. It seems like team Negima is gaining more power per chapter development. Besides, the harem size and variety of Team Negima blows Team Tenchi Muyo out of the sky.
