Pretty much all of the guys I could think of were already mentioned. (Having said that, I must emphasize how much I agree about Lelouch. And adult Simon. And Kamina. And Kenshin. And...well. You get the idea.) However, I sense a disturbing absence of Viral. Those last few episodes, with Simon and Viral were pure epicness.

IMO Guts, Spike (cowboy bebop), Mugen & Jin (Samurai Champloo), Jojo (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure), Lupin the 3rd, Cobra (psychogun is awesome!!!), Kaneda & Tetsuo (AKIRA) are GREAT too !

I'll pass on the pictures because the people I'm gonna talk about are probably known from everyone. My criteria when choosing the coolest anime guys wasn't only the Cool factor but also the smart type. I just love it when you have a really smart calculating type of character as a lead so my first choice was a tie between:
1. Yagami Raito(DEATH NOTE) and Lelouch Vi Britannia(Code Geass)
I also really like the Reckless rush into a fight type of main character that's why my second choice goes to 2 characters Very similar in many ways and to make it even funnier from the same artist.
2. Spike Spiegel(Cowboy Bebop) and Mugen(Samurai Champloo)
My third choice was a tie between free perverted spirits that put others welfare before their own but still keep that cool factor going.
3. Kintaro Oe(Golden Boy) and Eikichi Onizuka(Great Teacher Onizuka)
Now that I think about it I should have just said best 3 in these categories. Seriously though these guys just rock. Though my favourites overall would be Lelouch and Light(Raito)

Wye does everybody forget Amano Jyaku from UrotsukidÅji, He’s like the most badass character ever!... Well maybe it’s because UrotsukidÅji was the first anime I saw, but still he’s cool.

Another cool guy in anime... Shigeno Goro, aka Honda Goro from the hit anime series Major. This guy just uses his own power and skill to climb over every obstacle thrown at him in baseball... he's like my ideal of a manly man.
