Just started watching this series and I have to say I'm hooked. What reallys got me is this crazy unique animation (I say crazy but I don't mean CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY of course) Just hope it doesn't start to suck as I continue to watch
Started watching this waaay back and completely loved it, unfortunately I never finished watching the series.
I'll have to finish it someday, when I'm not too lazy.
An excellent show even though someone new to anime might disagree.
Took a while for me to fully get used to the drawing style (not that it starts off all that interesting compared to the latter story parts) but after that it definitely started counting as a plus. I even believe it managed to make me perceive one or two chicks as sexy.
Good sound most of the time. May not be epic but it fits in well.
Somewhat gay at times but that's pretty much my only complain.
There's no doubt in my mind that adapting Dumas's original story helped the show buttloads (they butchered it BTW but it's only to be expected with Gonzo involved) but it still deserves credit for all the freshness and uniqueness it added.
I gave this a shot because the art seemed interesting enough and it was new (at the time). But turns out I didn't like the direction at all. Or maybe it's the story itself I dunno...
