I haven't read all the post yet but this sound good if done right.
I think someone who had invinciblity powers that stemmed from pure luck would be either epic or funny depending on how it was done.
Someone who could survive a crumbling building because they were lucky and debries piled just the right way to make a safe passage for them or to run straight towards someone with a gun and a fired bullet would barely missed.
That kind of power would let a character develop through the story with the question of, "just how strong is my power? Do I even have a power? How much faith will I place in my power?" At some point, are they going to be willing to attempt to do something impossible because they believe they have this "luck" abliity behind them.
Manipulation of luck was briefly touched on Asura Crying though with minor characters having the ability to bite someone and transfer their luck to another person. They were like entities that were supposed to balance out peoples luck.
