What things do you look for when your watching a anime. What things attract you to watch a anime. Personally when i watch anime i look for all the above, story, character development, plot twist, likeable characters, hated characters, ecchi, violence, language, even sex scenes like in gantz and moonlight mile. What attracts me is not only a teaser trailer but also the art. Lets hear from you guys and girls

Mostly comedy, mixed with a great story, some ecchi, and usually action :3

Nice art and good plot!

Great plot, addictive soundtrack, creative and/or technically proficient animation (although just creative works too), likeable and realistic characters, and a spectacular ending, something every anime should have. Also, it should have a perfect balance of fan service. Enough to get fans cheering for some more, but not some much as to become borderline hentai. We don't want to wish it was a hentai to begin with.

All of the above apply to hentai as well, with the addition of detailed and amazing sex scenes. No censorship either.

Moe,new age animation with a clean look, automatic watch if there are lolis, especially of the tsundere kind, fan service, not particularly ecchi but it should have at least a teasing overtone,did I mention Loli?

Art,great plot,action and comedy.

But even sometimes I enjoy moe and ecchi.

Humor, drama, ecchi, good fight scenes, good story, and character development.

Gurren Lagann, fits this description perfectly for me, that's why its my favorite.

Storyline, Pace of the plot development, Artistic Style, music, genre.

A slice of life storyline, and it can be ecchi, loli, really anything as long as the storyline is fine.

Something that is interesting, with good characters, and fleshed out story line. I actually don't like fan service in my anime, that's what the hentai is for. I also like some with a good ending, usually emotional.

well, i'm very attracted to Comedy anime though...

Comedy, blood, action, and an interesting plot. :o

Overall I look for the quality of the storyline, art, and character development, the rest depends on the specific genre; level of comedy, fight scenes, ecchi/fanservice, etc.
