Lol, i didn't really ask for like the frightening sort of "thrilling". I wanted sorta like suspense sort of "thrilling".
Could you please keep yourself from running your mouth off until you've actually seen the titles recommended to you? I just don't like anyone who judges something that they're not even familiar with. Monster isn't all that "frightening" at all, mind you; it's not even horrifying to say the least, no, not at all.
With all due respect bro, I'm just kindly recommending you some "Thrilling Anime" that I know of. Whether you actually give them a shot or not is none of my concern. The best thing you'd do is to shut yer trap, look for the series(download it, stream it, buy it, rent it, or whatever), and watch a good amount of its episodes, instead of criticizing my "understanding" nor recommendation. (I ain't exactly in a "friendly" mood today so it seems)
PS: Despite its lengthiness (74eps), Monster is a very good suspenseful/thrilling psychological series and imo is more thrilling than all of the series you've ever mentioned in your initial post, combined. I've seen them all, except for Hikaru no Go.
Lastly if I may ask, just how exactly did
Shion no Ou become so "gory" ?

I once tried watching Shion No ou but for some reason, i found the story... dark? As in it was a bit gory, but it didn't frighten me or anything. If i could describe it i would say the anime was ...depressing? I dunno but the overall mood of the anime was just so quiet. I dropped the series after watching 3 episodes
Don't you find it a little bit convenient that you could say these things after only having seen 3 out of its 22 total episodes?
I would beg to differ. It was neither dark, gory, and depressing, in fact it was pretty much the opposite. While I wouldn't exactly consider it that "thrilling" (though it does have some suspenseful moments), the adaptation was decent all in all; comes without saying that I enjoyed it. :) (but not as much as Monster -it's simply a masterpiece! :D)
